A limited edition first-pressing edition of the brand new licensed reissue of STP's debut album 'Core' is now available online through pre-order from Music Record Shop. This special edition, limited to just 2500 numbered copies, is a 2LP set featuring the full album on three sides of the transparent 180 grams vinyl and an etched album cover on side 4! The double LP comes in a 6mm sleeve. See the YouTube link below for a video of the production of this release.

While this is a European release, Music Record Shop is located in the United States and ships from St. Louis! Get it while you can, these items go fast! The limited edition purple vinyl for Purple (released in June) has already completely sold out!

I just got mine. They have done a beautiful job on it.

The store owner said it sold out on Pre-Order, so I would snap one up quickly.

By going to a record store and hoping they have it in stock.

If anyone missed the boat on this and wants it, I've got an original pressing of Core on vinyl.  Import edition so it includes the acoustic version of Plush.  $40 including shipping.

Yeah, I am saying the label has sold out. There are 2500 manufactured and they are all shipped, mostly to Europe, so quite soon they won't be easy to find. You can get them on Ebay still though.

If you miss the clear vinyl though, there is a black vinyl pressing being done now the clear has sold out. Same deal, 2 x 180g with the 4th side etched, not limited.

Why didn't you put this on Ebay? They were going for $100+ a few months ago.

The reissue will demolish the market for original copies, as has been the case with other records. My original Mad Season went from going at $150+ to about $40 after it was reissued.

No they weren't.  I've checked regularly over the last year or two.  I had a signed (Weiland) Tiny Music vinyl that I had to list five times just to sell at $120.

In my completed listings for UK ebay I have 3 copies that have gone for $150+ in the 2 months preceding the rerelease.

Perhaps it is a European thing, but the band isn't even well known over here.

How does it sound?
Is it as revolutionary a sound as the Core DVD Audio?

Yep, they definitely go for more but mine is the Japanese pressing which is what I was wanting to compare.  Those aren't, could have something to do with it, but I doubt it.  Like I said I struggled to get that Weiland signed Tiny Music out the door.  Listed Core multiple times and no one even bids on it.  I'd try to sell internationally, but I think the shipping would offset any sort of gain I would make.  Thanks for the links though.

It won't be remastered, right? I hope not. It'll sound like garbage if it is.

Sounds most excellent to me!! I have the DVD Audio which is the total kill but the vinyl experience is just as satisfying.
