Scott Weiland feeling holiday spirit
« on: December 20, 2011, 07:12:04 PM »
Scott was featured on CNN today!  Its on the homepage right now.

Scott seemed a bit off in the feature to me, but he also seemed very happy which was nice to see.  Anyway, here's the link-

This probably does deserve its own thread.

I don't know, guys--watching this makes me very sad.

Why do you say that, Laura? I haven't been able to watch it yet because videos are blocked here at the office...

Yeah I agree, I actually looked to make sure that there wasnt a fresh thread, but I didnt check old threads.  Anyway, just wanted to give credit where credit was due.

Haha...things are so slow for me at work right now (you would've never guessed, right?  :P ).

Anyway, I watched this video several times.  To me, he seems sincere and happy--but something is very wrong.

I don't see the problem. As mentioned above, he just looked very weird. Other than that, I really liked it and though he sounded ok.

He actually seems to be speaking rather clearly here. He looks a bit sad, though.

I didn't see anything to be sad about?  He looks kinda weird and he's wearing eye liner but other than that as far as Scott videos go as of late this was pretty positive I thought.

Well.... That's like at least 10 years old.  Compared to recent interviews/rants the CNN interview posted today is rather lucid.

My point is that we can debate shades of how messed up he might be, but when we compare him to himself when he was his most lucid, exciting, and interesting, he fails the litmus test.

I completely agree.  Unfortunately, this has been the case with him in interviews for at least the last 3 years dating back to the HIG release.  I'm not sure when exactly everything changed and he couldn't form a sentence with out pausing or saying "um" at least 18 times, but it's been that way as far as I can tell for 3+ years now.
