alice in chains is definitely ballin out and getting the most respect from the 90's bands in regards to a comeback. however in regards to aylin's comment, i wouldnt say "look at STP as to how a reunion tour should be done"..... one weiland was too fucked up at way to many shows, he admitted he was a full blown alchy again, they played the SAME FUCKING SETLIST every single show for months.... they have plenty of songs they could throw in with their usual hits that people would still enjoy. and they did not have great turnouts for a number of shows... not sure if that is how an ideal reunion should be. soundgarden is garbage now though ha
I do agree with you...Scott was inconsistent, and the setlists were the same.
I actually meant the reunion itself was done well...tour, good new album, tv apperarences, more tour, south america tour, first Australia tour (hopefully) etc. Not "yeah we're reunited, here's a greatest hits, we'll play a gig in Seattle for our real fans (I hate the Seattle ego trip, they have to get over it), and just wait for a new album..."
AIC did a good job. Great album, great tour. And all with having to face the "Layne replacement" issue (I love AIC and am happy that they're carrying on, and Duvall has a fine voice, but I'm personally not all too impressed with his performance of old AIC songs, pisses me off and makes me miss Layne even more, but that's just my opinion).
With STP, unfortunately I think that this is the best we could have possibly expected from them untill Scott clears up his problems. Well done to Dean, Rob and Erik for hanging in and filling the gaps. Again, my own opinion.
