Surprise surprise, The first thing they mention is "The Drugs."
 ::)

Well when 90% of your career has been derailed by drugs, and as recently as 2 months ago scott was cracked out onstange forgetting words, i would say it's an acceptable subject to talk about.

Also, doesn't he sing about drugs in the very first single they released from their first new album in 8 years?

just sayin'

Its obviously not a topic Scott shy's away from, he sings about it constantly, and like the band, fans seem somewhat willing to live with it then and live with hearing about it now. Again, any publicity that talks about the new album is good publicity

Nice vid, Scott photogenic as always - on 00.41 he looks very similar to John Cusack imo  :P

I hope the pics on the vid have made it in the magazine because they are simply amazing!
I watched the video with no sound, is there anything besides music?

The article seemed to give props to STP and dismiss the magazine's earlier shuns of the band.

Now STP can make a video like "No Doubt" did in which the band went in for a magazine photo shoot and it all became about Gwen, which was based on the truth and I think the Mag. was SPIN , so ..

And they can make it about how the sexual relationship between the singer and the bassist was falling apart and they both knew it, but the singer didn't want to bassist to her/him because it hurts.

Ironically The drummer from no doubt worked with Scott on Happy in galoshes!  Hmmmm

Can't wait to the the new album and the tour - dublinnnnnnnnnnn  ;D

My friend is so awesome. She gave me a copy of the Spin magazine with Scott Weiland on the cover today.

It's a very good article, but it mentions Dean having a heroin addiction back in the day. I never knew about that. It mostly features Scott Weiland, but there's an interesting quote from Rob that says, "This is bullshit. Look at him. He can't go on tour. He needs help. He thinks he's clean just because he's not shooting heroin. But he's popping pills." This quote comes after the article mentions Scott being late for the Spin photo shoot.

On a sidenote, my brother gave me a Rolling Stone magazine from December 1997 because it featured an article on Scream 2 (I'm also a big Wes Craven fan) and it had a tiny blurb about Scott going to rehab again. I thought it was pretty great.
