Interesting. I wonder what that's all about? Wasn't aware of any beef between Scott and Josh...Maybe it stems back to the Axl vs Scott thing (Josh worked with GN'R for a while)? I'm very intrigued now, even though it' none of my business, haha!

Hopefully Josh doesn't knock out Scott's dentures.

I actually think he has implants, which would hurt a lot more than getting dentures knocked out.

Josh Freese has done a hell of a lot in his career if you look back at the albums and tours he's played on. He's probably one of the most respected session men in music right now and has also been a key member of Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle. I don't even think its fair to speculate about Freese having problems when we've heard what we've heard about Scott from pretty much everybody he's ever worked with. The nicest personal thing I've heard from even the DeLeo Brothers about him in the last couple of years has been "Scott is Scott".

I'm not saying its anybody's fault but we can't just assume that Freese is an asshole.

I dont care how much josh freese have done in his life, but if he is messing with Scott Weiland...he becomes my enemy!

And since axl rose and scott are both on my top 3 best frontman/singer/songwriter ever ...is very uncomfortable to hear of them getting in trouble with each other...

Lol, yeah, whos that guy thats played on a catologue of records whose total sales have exceeded 100 million copies:P? And lets also remember that the Deleos and Kretz invited him to play with them, I'm pretty sure his reputation is not that of a no-name asshole.

It is NOT cool for a artist to bad mouth (or tweet about) another artist they just shared a stage with. No matter WHO you are. It's called having a little class.
Josh Freese just showed he has none.

whether he is right or wrong is NOT the issue, it does however prove he has no class.

Sugar Ray making a few STP references back in the day, anyone else notice?
« Reply #56 on: August 16, 2010, 01:06:39 AM »
I just started listening to some early Sugar Ray stuff recently after hearing 'Mean Machine' in a club andf noticed a few STP references, i'm sorry if this has been discussed here before.

Firstly in the video for 'Mean Machine' (from 1995) the bassis seems to be mimicking Scott Weiland's style from the Core era: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VL5LV9PVZ8

and right at the start of their second album before the song 'RPM' kicks in Mark McGrath sings 'I AAAAAM' in the exact same style as 'Dead and Bloated'.

I was just wondering if they are paying homeage or making fun of STP. I know Mark McGrath has worked with Scott Weiland a couple of times in 'The WOndergirls' and possibly 'Camp Freddy' also so i'm guessing they are friends?
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long

Honestly I had to wikipedia him  :-[ (not saying this to dismiss him)

It smells like they don't like each other and nothing else. It happens and a lot. Sometimes you don't like someone's ways just because.

But I agree with Peebs, 0 class from him.

So, Scott 1 - Josh 0  ;D

I've noticed the Dead & Bloated reference in "RPM" before and I would say I think the members of Sugar Ray are fans of STP. It's just a hunch, but I can just see them growing up before Sugar Ray got big as some Southern California dudes jamming to Core or something lol
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007
