Hit Parader - top 100 of the 21st century...
« on: August 19, 2008, 02:59:41 AM »
I was at B&N today, and I picked up this copy of Hit Parader, and looked through it.  I'm not sure when it was but AOA was listed as one of the top 100 bands of the 21st century, and...

Scott was no. 9 on the "icon??" list.  (I think it was ???  might have been best singer or something... I'm not sure)

The DeLeos, VR, and Scott were all over it.  I found it refreshing. ;D

I thought I could find something online, so I didn't buy it - I'll have to go back and get it.

This was obviously prior to the reunion being officially announced - it doesn't say much about STP, but has a ton of VR references.

On a side note, I haven't picked up a Hit Parader in YEARS.  :o  AND, they still print BOP! :o :o

Why would AoA make a list of the top 100 bands of the 21st century?  They have one record, that was pretty average, and were barely around a year.  Are you kidding me?

Honestly, the write-up about AOA focused on the DeLeo brothers and Kretz and how awesome they were. :P  That's the only reason I even mentioned it.

I didn't get it either - but I think at the time this was printed, or correlated, STP wasn't back together.

I think it's nice though...I am with u barbie,it is nice they are recognized! I wasn't a huge fan of AOA, I just liked it because of stp..I do agree about VR though.  They were awesome at the beginning when everything was good

Why would they mention Eric when they spoke about AOA? Just wonderin' ........ Did the dipshits think he was in the band?

It was just nice to see the boys being spoken about nicely. ;D

Now I have to go buy and scan the frickin' thing. ::) ;D

I KNOW! BOP?!?!?!?!?!  It still had all kinds of posters and stuff in it, but instead of being good stuff, it was The Jonas Brothers.  >:(

Totally off topic, but you're the one who said it, so...

I just obtained 4 FREE Jonas Brothers tickets - orchestra seats - for THIS Friday's show.  I am going to make a fucking killing on these things - even the lawn seats are going for $200/ea.

I might even end up going.  It's Jonas Mania, and I feel like I'd be a failure to my future children if I don't have a Jonas Brothers story...  lol :D

Don't go! Sell! Seriously, how many STP tickets can you buy/shows could you travel to with that kind of profit?!

I'm sure most people would cite practical economic uses for the surplus cash, but I think we share the same priorities ;)

Isn't that horrible?  The first thing I thought of when I heard "Free Jonas Brothers Tickets" was: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

lol.  :)  I just told the boyfriend about them.  His response: "You're sure you don't want to go?"  hahahaha
