How musically sort of good to bad the differents proyects?

Me :

1.Stone temple pilots
2.Scott Weiland Solo
3.Talk Show
4.Army of anyone
5.Velvet Revolver
Look I just want to go out sometime you know.  Like normal people, spend time together and enjoy each other's company. Like best friends.  Like lovers that care.  Who actually respect the relationship you know?"

hmmmm, good question.

I'm gonna say:

1. Stone Temple Pilots
2. Army of Anyone
3. Talk Show
4. Velvet Revolver
5. Scott Weiland solo

As much as I love Scott's solo album and as much as I love him... the music and mix is terrible on that album. And some of the lyrics are just wacky.

I picked AOA over TS because I think Patrick is a lot stronger, vocally. Musically they're both very solid, but I think Ray Luzier can't hold Eric's jock. So that's a tight one.

Regarding VR: I think we all know how I feel about Matt Sorum. Their songs are so uninspired, and I think Slash isn't half the guitarist Dean is. Too bad they couldn't make more songs like Slither.

This is actually pretty tough after the first slot:

1. Stone Temple Pilots
2. Army of Anyone -- they threw the best show
4. Scott Weiland Solo -- I am including his soundtrack and various other guest performance work; Master of Reality, Coda, Big Blue Missile, Limp Bizkit, etc.
5. Velvet Revolver -- couple of great songs. I love Slither, Get Out The Door, Let It Roll and Headspace, but after that -- not much there other than Scott's vocals.
6. Talk Show -- I enjoy the album as a whole more than either of VR album, but there are no really great songs on it.

On a side note, I really love both songs Magnificant Bastards recorded, even if one of them was a John Lennon cover. I think they had a lot of potential.

I think there was a topic way back when before the old board was hacked or crashed where people where posting their top 15 or 20 STP/STP related songs.....it was good stuff and didn't even include AoA or VR.

Mine is close;
1.  STP
2.  Scott Solo
3.  Army of Anyone
4.  VR
5.  Talk Show

I loved 12 BB.  I catch a lot of hell for that...most of my friends think it's total shit.  I've said this before though, I think possibly the reason I liked 12BB so much is because I was as whacked out of my mind listening to it as Scott was when he recorded it.  (Same substance unfortunately-100% clean now...yay me)

2. STP- what really is there to say
3. Army of Anyone-I love every song they did but not enough material to put them higher....plus they did put on a kickass show
4. Scott Solo-It was alright not a lot of replay value for me
5. Talk Show- This was alright had to be last by default

And to the person who said Ray Luzier cant hold Erics jock slow your roll...you can say you enjoy Eric more but as far as overall talent...Ray wouldnt hold his jock hed piss in it and put it over Erics head...that shit smells good dont it

If you think what Ray Luzier did to Goodbye is talented, then fine. I mean, sure, he pounds the drums and he's clearly very quick and has rhythm... but for me he completely butchered that song with his unecessary drum solo... and his fills on so many songs are TOO forced. It's like he has something to prove. He doesn't have the confidence to back off and let the song take it's form like Eric does. Eric is calculated but his layering, tone and fills are very tasteful. I'm sorry, maybe Luzier is "faster" and has more "talent", but he is not better than Kretz and rounding out a song. Not even close.

Just personal opinion of course.

Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

I la la loved "Goodbye."  I thought Richard Patrick was an excellent fit with the DeLeos.  Similar to Weiland yet not imitation.
