Wasnt there a whole bunch of film that they shot during the making?
Yes, i know that there was bits on the dvd of thank-you, but id really like to see more of the making of that album.
The idea is kinda like the let it be sessions.
It would be nice to see the working process of a great band.

I've wondered that myself.  I'm sure it's just because Shangri wasn't as succesfull as they would have hoped.

Maybe.Its a shame cuz the photography work is great, and it feels very warts and all.
Ive also wondered why there hasnt been a book or anything.
Im from the uk and the pilots are not that big as in the us.They are such an underrated band.
Whilst i like pj, i feel there music staggnated, while the pilots kept experimenting.They definitely came out of that whole pj copyist  and grunge thing.
Shangi-la is my favourite album.

It's kind of tough to sell a "making of" DVD when the album it's about doesn't sell squat.

That was one of the biggest hypes or buzz about that album...the documented process they went through....I forgot about that till now.  We willl never see it more than likely...STP sucked at self promotion.

Just like we won't see any of the ones from the Tiny Music... recordings.  Just like SLDD, everything during the recording process of Tiny Music... was filmed, as well.

They're in the vault.

Oh give it time.. when they need some extra dough.. or when the box set comes out.. we will get it.

Can't wait for the box set!  I hear it's 20 different live versions of Down!!
