I would be pumped if it happened, but I am not holding my breath. There was just a story the other day where Slash said Velvet Revolver would start work on a new album in April.

I know this sounds insane, but I would bet on Chinese Democracy coming out before a sixth STP disc. Plus, I would also assume another Weiland solo album would come out before STP as well.

Scott has always had a lot of cool ideas that don't come to fruition -- or at least take much longer than he initially states. The soonest I could see a new STP album happening would be LATE 2009.

Just my couple pennies.

I'm still waiting on that Weiland clothing line.  Mostly because I'm convinced it will consist mostly of lime green pants and feather boas.

Here's a convo where these two dudes talk about STP's first show for 2008 tour being in Ohio, I found the link to it on STP's wikipedia:

first some guy said: "steve, i heard that d wimmer and d williams are getting them (STP) to reunite for that big show that they do in columbus. if so, i'll be there."

this Steve guy responds with, "ctrlaltdel- it's del and gary spivak, but yes, the first (full) show will probably be at Rock On The Range in Ohio. Might do something little at an l.a. club first for fun, but that doesn't count. I'll see you there."

I don't know but the whole conversation seems like two "in the know" people knowing what they're talking about and for some reason I tend to believe it.

so, here's what the word on the street is....

  i'm at work tonight, and my buddy comes up to me and explains that once the current VR tour is complete, they're going to hit the studio for one more album.  once complete, a possible tour is possible, but slash is going to leave to continue work on some solo shit, and scott is going back to STP for a reunion tour. 
how's THAT for some shit?

don't know who his source is, probably somewhere on the radio, but I'm sure someone out there has heard something similar......
