It’s the same thing with Oasis. Noel Gallagher wrote the songs and he can sing but he knew Liam had the more distinctive vocal. I don’t think they would’ve found the same success had Noel fronted the band. Liam’s voice (and attitude to a degree), wether you love it or hate it, made that band really stand out from the crowd.

Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long

This topic was created to receive the answer of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Vaporized - "I can confirm that it's neither Gutt or Borja."

Solid takes here on Scott and Billy Corgan.  As for Scott, his later efforts were a bit more choppy.  But when he was matched with exceptional musicians and producers he brought it.  Deleos, VR, Brendan O Brien, Daniel Lanois were good for him.  When he started farting around with Bumblefoot, Doug Grean, Tommy Black ........his governors were missing.

I like Smashing Pumpkins.  Billy Corgan is a genius.  Sometimes his compass is off but man he's put out some real gems.  Wish he'd kiss and make up with Darcy, though.  Would of been fun to see her share the stage with Iha again.

Jeff Gutt, Chester Bennington, Richard Patrick are singers in great bands I don't like.

Just out of interest what is it you don’t like about Richard Patricks voice?? I always thought he was really good. I never liked Chesters voice, I realise he could sing his ass off don’t get me wrong, it was just kinda soft and poppy sounding to me (when he wasn’t doing the screams I mean).

I was trolling.  Nothing vs. R Patrick.  Seems like a stand up dude with some solid chops.  Too bad the Deleos blew up AOA.  Would be cool to see what these guys could come up with on their 3rd or so album by now.  Instead we get J Gutt and re hashers.   ahem  STP.

Eve 6. Great, great band. Had a shit experience with the lead singer..... Felt like I was dealing with a punk looking for a fight.
