Howdy Fellow Fanatic! In case anyone lives in or around Toronto, Canada. Our STP tribute Silvergun Supermen is hosting a tribute to Scott Weiland on the 2nd anniversary of his passing (He passed on Dec 3rd and we'll be performing until 1:30 AM on Dec 3rd). Seeing as it's the 25th anniversary of 'Core' this year, we'll be performing the album from front to back in it's entirety followed by 2 sets of songs from throughout Weiland's career (STP, Velvet Revolver, Wildabouts, etc.). If you purchase an advance ticket online you'll be entered into a raffle to win the 'Core 25th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition' prize. Only advance ticket purchases are entered in the raffle. the draw will be made/the prize will be awarded during the show. I know man, our band was fortunate enough to hang with him outside his tour bus before and after the show. I gave him one final handshake before leaving and then when I heard he died on that same bus 2-days later i was shocked! I can't imagine what it'll feel like performing some of the same songs on that same stage, it will a once in a lifetime experience that's for sure!

I just want to let all fellow STP fans know that our Toronto Stone Temple Pilots tribute band Silvergun Supermen will be playing/hosting a charity benefit concert at Adelaide Hall on Thursday Feb 18th. We will pay tribute to Scott Weiland on the same stage that we saw him give his final performance. I invite you to come celebrate the life and legacy of Scott Weiland as the members of Silvergun Supermen perform a career spanning tribute to the legend himself. The night will be filled with songs from his diverse catalog including works from: Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Scott Weilland & the Wildabouts, and more, as well as a few special guest performances. Our friends -The Road Heavy- were Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts' opening act that fateful night and they have graciously agreed to retake the stage once again on Feb 18th to open the show. All proceeds from this event will be donated to CAMH: Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Oh and I forgot to mention in this post that our fill-in bass player was hospitalized the night before the show, the guys helping out in this video offered to fill-in hours before the show started. They had a basic familiarity with the songs and were good enough musicians to pull it off without having a rehearsal with us. Anyways, here are 3 of the other songs we played, they're not from the MTV Setlist(except for Crackerman), but we basically had to play whatever the stand-in bass players knew.

Hey man, yeah, we didn’t have a 2nd guitar player or a 2nd percussionist to play the show with us like STP did so we had some space to fill. We went for more of blending between our favourite aspects of their electric and acoustic renditions of the songs.

Hey JBattista sorry for the delayed response, I just saw that you responded to it now. The original plan was to perform the entire MTV '93 set (Big Empty and Andy Warhol Included!) and then add a few choice selections for an encore. But our fill-in bass player was hospitalized the night before the show. Thankfully the day of, the guitarist and the bass player for the AIC tribute volunteered their services. So without a proper rehearsal we performed a mixed set, based on what the other guys knew. Here's a sample of the show:
