Scott Updates?

So just browsing around here, there are no real updates on just what Scott is up to these days, however Scott and the Wildabouts are coming to Houston in May…don't really know what the tour is gonna be like…like the rest of you.


Reading stuff on here sometimes is cryptic, and gives me a bad feeling.  I just went to his Facebook page (I never really have before) and the pics and post look very positive.  This guy is so hard to figure out, isn't he?!?! 


I will probably go see him again.  I was fairly impressed with the last tour. Despite negative reviews, I thought Houston caught a good show.

He'll be touring again very soon.  We'll get some updates on him very soon.  I, for one, will report back on how he looks and sounds after his Little Rock show on the 3rd of May.

            I agree with Nick. I see Scott had been making recent posts on Facebook and all have been positive. He's even posted a few "tbt=throw back Thursday" pics of himself as a little kid. He seems to be in positive spirits whenever he post something and plus he has a whole new set of tour dates. It appears to me it's just Scott living his life. I don't see anything negative in all that.

There will need to be a helluva lot of new songs in addition to this if I'm going to pay $72 to see it.

I agree 100%. I'm interested to know if these songs will sound better without the extra guitars (and in some cases, keyboards) that Doug was playing.

Im excited just to hear the new tunes. im glad scott says there will be a upcoming album soon. For awhile all of us wondered if he was even in the studio or not. This now comfirms new music is on its way thank god. And hopefully someone will post the new songs on youtube.

I really like these updates Scott has been giving us lately. You Got No Right would be awesome to hear as would Slither, though I hope for some more variety STP-wise.

Doesn't really confirm anything. A new album could come within a few months, a few years, or never. It's Scott Weiland we're talking about.

This album is really such a wild card. We don't know anything about it. Who's producing it now that Doug's gone? Scott himself? We'll get our first taste of what to expect with these upcoming performances assuming someone puts them on youtube. I really have zero expectations.

I'm happy for Scott knowing that he's planning yours and stuff, but the whole album thing doesn't excite me. Every one of his solo albums, in my opinion, have been....bleh. Glad that he is doin ok though!

I want to be excited about Scott's new music. I really do. But I'm not. Here's why: (1) He posted an 11-song setlist, and not a single new song is on it. (2) He allegedly played some new songs last year, and they pretty much went over like a lead balloon. There was no reaction at all -- not good, not bad. None. To me, that is just depressing.

I want to be excited that the set list will actually change from show to show to keep things fresh, but I've heard this intention before.

IMO if he could do some more VR stuff that would be great.  Also wish he'd so some more deep tracks of solo stuff. 
But I agree needs a few more songs on that list in general.

Also very happy if this means the Mountain song jam is disappearing from the set.
