When i first heard that Scott did a cover of Time of the Season I was really excited cuz I always thought he'd do a great cover of that song...however i was really disappointed when I heard it. I dunno...i just dont like the voice he uses in it that much. And let's not even begin to talk about Velvet Revolver's cover of Money. Honestly that's the only song Weiland sings on where i just cant stand his voice.
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

"Time of the Season" , "But Not Tonight" and "Dancing Days" are phenomenal covers. My favorite there is "But Not Tonight" which Scott did with Doug covering Depeche Mode. Such a beautiful song in every aspect....
Scott did it with Crystal Method.

No.

The demo of time of the season is better than the soundtrack version imo. And his cover of Ashes to ashes makes Bowie's pale in my mind.

[i never liked zepp, much, but am glad STP covered dancing days]

I couldn't tell any differences between the two.

What part of LB's "Nobody Like You" does Weiland actually sing? I'm pretty sure it's the chorus "You break me, I've got a reason and I won't let go. Take me down, I've got a reason and I don't want you to know". And then at the end I think I hear him screaming sort of high-pitched "and I won't let go"...."I've got no reason....no fucking reason.....and I won't let go"

I also wonder on the last chorus...on the "take me down part" it almost sounds like Fred Durst is singing it with him. Anyone know the answers to these challenging and detailed questions?!

Haha I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure you nailed it. I always thought those were the parts that Scott sang and I agree I think Fred (and maybe Jonathan Davis) are singing/screaming with him at the end. That's a great song I love it

Yep. That's Scott's voice on those parts. I've never heard him in any other parts of the song.

wikipedia states on the scott weiland page:

Other works

    * He played guitar with Stephen Carpenter and sang on the Deftones album White Pony in the song "RX Queen".

Anyone know if this is true? I don't hear his voice on the track at all.

So obviously I'm a dumbass, but I went on the Scott Weiland and STP forums and typed "Rx Queen" in the search box of BOTH forums and it said my search yielded nada. So what else could I have done? I'm obviously not using the search tool properly to catch posting on threads that have already covered the subject on my mind so any direction would be helpful and appreciated.
