Look I just want to go out sometime you know.  Like normal people, spend time together and enjoy each other's company. Like best friends.  Like lovers that care.  Who actually respect the relationship you know?"

well i'll be damned!

Love this CD.  I am surprised, but proud to hear Scott had a tiny role in its completion.

I'll have to listent to that song again, see if I can pick up Scott's influence. Wonder how many other songs out there have Scott's finger prints all over them?

I had no idearrrr about that. Crazy. I'm not much of a Deftones fan, but My Own Summer and Passenger are both ill songs. I'm going to have to check out RX Queen. Right now.

Well, I stand corrected...To a point. Although he wasn't featured in the song, he had something to do with its completion. Interesting. I guess I know which album I am listening to on the way home.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

Um. Yeah, he's not on the Deftones track. Maynard provides vocals for the album, but on a different song. (Passenger)

He is also NOWHERE to be found on Nookie and Show Me What You Got.

The other two tracks are correct.

Actually the wikipedia article said that "Show Me What You Got" was a tribute:

"Scott Weiland the melody man,
if you cant sing it nobody can"

takes me back to '98 :)

If I remember correctly, Chino thanks Scott on the reissue album... the one with the silver background and little white pony.  Damn different versions of the same album.  The Deftones suckered me, for I bought 2 of the 3 versions.  Sacramento pride I guess...

He performed with Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit on the album Significant Other in the song "Nobody Like You" along with Jonathan Davis from Korn. He was also tributed in the same album with the song "Show Me What You Got", and "Nookie"

Found this on wikipedia as well about "Nookie"
Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver fame sings the sampled "hey" in the "like a chump" prechorus.

Never heard about this before, can anyone confirm?

I have no information to confirm or deny this, but why the fuck would they drag someone from outside the band into the studio to record one fucking word for a song?

I think he was already in the studio with them, recording vocals for "Nobody Like You"

Thats one of the funniest things ever. I want to ask Scott if thats true. I remember seeing Fred Durst on MTV talking about working with Weiland and saying something about how amazing he is at writing songs.
