Yes, we all have short memories .. STP fans eat there own, then snap when "outsiders" do it, STP aping every grunge band on Core, BigBangBaby being a Jumping Jack Flash rip off,  Between the Lines is Nirvanas Stay Away, etc., etc.,etc. I think this is what STPs legacy to most

If Scott would have shut up in the middle of Sex Type Thing that would have been a pretty good performance. Why was he cursing so much? I've never seen him use the word fuck as much as he did during that two minute speech.

His persona changed in many ways with VR. His on stage dancing took on more of a Mick Jagger feel than the slither, crazy dance feel in STP (not completely, but a marked difference). I saw him wear a lot more leather and denim. He also wore that silly hat a lot (like he had to compete with Slash or something).


I also noticed a lot more cursing on Contraband than I had heard on the, at that time, previous 5 STP records and one solo record.


I am guessing it was a conscious decision on his part to appeal to the GnR crowd.


He did that clapping in the 99-01 era in STP too, though a lot of the time it was him controlling the cheering of the crowd like a conductor, not clapping.


Either way, I just don't understand why this is an issue. Just seems to be the epitome of trivial.

For anybody who is interested, after a very long and slow climb, Black Heart has finally cracked the top ten at Active Rock.

It's still rising on Active Rock week on week, but after peaking at no.4 on Mainstream Rock it has dropped back down that chart.

Has anyone heard anything about the contest to direct the official video for the song? I think I heard that $5000 was gonna be given to who came up with the best concept and would get a chance to direct it.

The contest say's that whose ever video is chosen by the band will get 5000$. The contest got ever yesterday according to my time here in india. These are the videos submitted

Thanks for the link, I thought some of the videos were quite interesting too. I hope whichever one's featured also includes band footage, much like the videos for Between The Lines or Days Of The Week.
