I liked S/T. I don't listen to it as much as the other 5 albums, but I've heard a lot worse in rock albums from 2010.

Scott Weiland needs to sober up and write more fucking music with Stone Temple Pilots. This future sucks. We'll have a VR and STP fronted by guys named not Weiland and Scott's playing with a bunch of no names. No offense to the Wildabouts but they fo sho ain't Slash and they definitely haven't written a Plush or Interstate Love Song. And they haven't kicked Scott's ass into gear and gotten him to release some new stuff in almost 3 years. Breathe don't count that's fuckin Happy In Galoshes material.

Anywho. Chester definitely isn't the melody man Weiland is but it's a fine song nonetheless. Tho it's not something I'd ever really want to listen to.

It's a fine song, but you wouldn't want to listen to it?

ShaneC, I got a Oasis feeling from this song too!

And Slither, who knows maybe I'm jumping the gun and will look back and think I was crazy for saying this song is better than Huckleberry, Hickory, and Days of the Week. But right now I definitely feel like it's better than those songs

Agreed on the Oasis thing, also was thinking Beatles-ish .. i like it

I like the song, it exceeded my expectations. OOT took a few listens to warm up to, but I liked this one the first time through. I'm more excited now to hear the rest.

It could be one of the darkest pop rock songs lyrically ever.

decent song.
I think I was expecting something a bit harder and heavier from them.
it definitely has that stp  and beatle-esque vibe to it, that we all love.
sounds like a tune from self-titled album.

its interesting to hear chester sing this type of song. ive never heard him sing in this style.
kudos to him.
you cant have it all, but I just wish his voice had some more depth to it.....idk.....hard to explain.
feel like its missing a little something, to jazz it up.
maybe a little raspy bass in the vocals during the chorus?? idk.

like others have said here..... it has a generic quality about it.
I don't think this will be a memorable song.
then again self-titled album wasn't too memorable for me either, compared to stp's other albums.

If the song sounded more or less the same and it was Scott singing you'd all be all over it.

During the breakdown Chester sounds a lot like Scott.

The first time I heard the opening riff, I expected to hear Paul Stanley's voice. The intro sounds a little generic, but the then the vocal melody begins, and sounds great on top of the riff. I like Chester's vocal on this, much more than OOT. Then the chorus kicks in, all hooks and harmonies, very colorful and catchy.

Just your typical bouncy, happy tune about a killer. Or maybe its a sexual metaphore. Nice Beatle- like bridge right before the guitar solo too. Definitely look forward to hearing the rest of High Rise.

Not too keen on Chester's vocals on this.  It feels to me he is trying too hard.  It defo has a forced feel and I couldn't feel that was him singing.

Im not a 100% sold on this song, not really keen on the country side of STP thats coming out. Still its got an ok vibe and I like the Beatles vibe to the vocals. Not keen on the Classic Rock/Country tunes, Id much prefer the more modern side of STP ie No4,Shangri & AITSTYW from Thank you.

Still looking forward to the other 3 tunes left to hear, will still be a first day buyer.
