Guys, a crappy quality recording can only reveal deficiencies in a mix or in a frequency that the mic can't pic up or a change in timbre because of one's location versus the direction of the sound.
What it does not do is make someone more or less off key.
When you're at a live show your ears are being assaulted. You're singing along, everyone else is singing. But recordings provide truth. Nothing about these videos distorts pitch. We could find equally poor quality recordings where Scott sounds great. He sounds bad here. Being there he probably sounded alright, especially the closer oe was to the stage (where the stage volume drowns out the amplified vocals).
