I'm very reluctant to criticise Rik but this is pretty childish imo.


You can be the biggest SW fan of all time, you can be as upset and disappointed as you want - that's all fair and completely understandable.


BUT the simple fact is that "Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington" is the group that this section of the board is supposed to be about.

I don't get it either, it's denying reality to call it 'Dean, Eric, Robert + Chester Bennington.'  Other bands have, and will, change singers and keep their name (and sometimes in altered form like Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington and Queen + Paul Rodgers).

Just as a heads up, and this isn't meant to ruffle the feathers of the mods of this board...you all are always welcome to come post on my Linkin Park forums and discuss STP in the news threads, or start a new STP themed thread under the "Side Projects" forums. We've been pretty accepting of Chester joining STP on there [moreso than what is found on STP/LP's Facebook] and I'd love to see you guys be a part of the discussion.

We don't have an official STP section yet, as we're not sure how long or involved Chester's tenure with STP will be. Naturally if this becomes a multi-album/tour deal, we'll make something more permanent.

Again, not trying to spam or steal visitors away (quite the contrary!!!) but I know you guys want a place to freely discuss the new-era STP without worrying about hate, and I welcome you all!
