STP's New Producer?
« on: August 06, 2013, 12:05:21 PM »

Not sure of his exact role but producer Lior Goldenberg posted pics of Dean DeLeo laying down tracks at The Space, Goldenberg's LA studio

He's worked with Crash Kings, STP's opening act last summer

Lol! If STP loses the lawsuit, perhaps they'll become Stone Temple Pilotos!

Just looked at his production discography.
Definitely not the usual suspects when it comes to 'big name' bands he's worked with.

Brendan O Brien, of course, would have been ideal.
I wonder if it's a money thing.

Yes, I noticed that connection as well. ;)

The interesting thing to me is that the band has chosen not to self-produce the EP. Did he produce Out of Time?

The Deleo's totally fucked up the production of S/T... which I can only guess was self produced to save money.  So, going with this new guy seems to hint at money as well.  But hey, if he's good enough for Lindsay Lohan, he'll be fine for STP featuring Chester.
"Hey there... how's your steak?"

Funny that you chose to focus on Lohan. To be fair, Goldenberg has produced a wide swath of talent. From Wikipedia

1 Career
[/l]
• 2.1 Rancid
• 2.2 Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
• 2.3 MxPx
• 2.4 H2O
• 2.5 Alanis Morissette
• 2.6 Andrew W.K.
• 2.7 Strata
• 2.8 Vanessa Carlton
• 2.9 Juliana Hatfield
• 2.10 Ozzy Osbourne
• 2.11 Robert Downey, Jr.
• 2.12 Lindsay Lohan
• 2.13 Ziggy Marley
• 2.14 Phathom
• 2.15 The Ringers
• 2.16 Oliver Future
• 2.17 The Hanks
• 2.18 Josh Smith
• 2.19 Boy In The Bubble
• 2.20 Suffrajett
• 2.21 The Ringers
• 2.22 Josh Grondin
• 2.23 VETO
• 2.24 Levi Smith
• 2.25 Saint Motel
• 2.26 Crash Kings
• 2.27 Glare of Rockets
• 2.28 Ryan Bradley Affair
• 2.29 Little Red Radio
• 2.30 Redstone Hall
• 2.31 Wil Seabrook
• 2.32 Gigantic-Nickelodeon
• 2.33 The Dance Party
• 2.34 Allen Stone
• [/l][/l][/l]

We can't just assume that Brendan O'Brien is always available. I'm sure he's in demand.

As for Mr. Goldenberg, he doesn't seem to have trouble finding work. I doubt that he's working for free.

I don't mean to get off topic here, but Lindsay Lohan actually has talent. She just blew it. People who work with her are constantly forced to deal with tardiness, tantrums, absences, neediness, and psychodrama.

Hmm…do we know anyone else like that?
