The ticket site says "members of Stone Temple Pilots" instead of simply saying Stone Temple Pilots, so they're not playing under the STP name then?
Because if they are playing under the STP name then why not just put STP there instead of members of STP.

'members' hint that they'll keep going.  Maybe they don't want to advertise it as STP so it's not a big deal in the press, or maybe wait until they have a new singer?

Or maybe it's true that they can't legally fire Scott and use the STP name without him? Who knows what the reason is, it just had me thinking.

Maybe They might just be using the Tagline "Member of Stone Temple Pilots" to get Heads in the building. They could do a bunch of Covers. But then again we'll just have to see what happens.

Or maybe they are just too classy to go around touring as STP without all the members of the band, even if they fired the guy who is absent.

But whatever the case, I think an STP/Bennington super group could be badass... So long as they keep Bennington out of the production booth. The guy can sing, but he can't record for shit.

I believe the an appearance by Andy Dick is only special if he doesn't molest someone.

I think Chester has too much love for Scott to be his permanent replacement in STP. Also, why the hell is Andy Dick still famous?

Doesn't mean Chester and STP can't collaborate one day. Write some music, play some shows, put out a record and call themselves something else.

Talented singer he may be, I've never been a fan of Linkin Park, personally, and would probably not be too interested in a collaboration. With that said, it would be a smart move for 'the members of STP'. If they can bag that, then go for it!
Do you like STP? Check out my band! We're heavily STP-influenced. http://dropdeadsixtymusic.bandcamp.com/

Wouldn't be surprised if the Deleos have tabbed someone else.  They're a pretty douche pair if you ask me.  Slash is an ass, too.  That being said, it'd be awesome if Scott hooked back up with them.  They got something good when they're together.  I'll be checking out Scott but not this event.

Special Appearance by Andy Dick????

SIGN ME UP!

This sounds like more of a camp Freddy type thing than an official "moving on under the STP name" for the Deleos and Kretz. The reason they're calling it "members of STP" and not "STP" is because it's not STP it's dean rob and Eric. I mean, they couldn't just mislead people and say STP and not have Scott be there. God, that would be like Scott doing a solo tour where he saying he's performing Core and Purple back to back and then played his solo stuff along with some Bowie and Jane's Addiction...

Oh wait...

This does sound really cool though. Love Chester, always thought he could do better than Linkin Park. Kiedis, slash & duff, and the Kretzleos always put on a great show so I would definitely be there if I lived out on the west coast

When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

I think it's pretty clear that Andy Dick will be the new singer of Stone Temple Pilots.
