Desperation #5!? I am so jealous of those who are there right now. I have always thought that this song would sound really good with his voice now. Hopefully we will find out soon. And I really like that backdrop.

BEAUTIFUL SET!  Only thing I would change is the two covers because I'm not familiar with them.  if they switched them out for 5 to 1 and Revolution I might pee myself with excitement

Look I just want to go out sometime you know.  Like normal people, spend time together and enjoy each other's company. Like best friends.  Like lovers that care.  Who actually respect the relationship you know?"

Judging from the time people started tweeting photos of him, I'd say around 9:30 or 9:40 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

Just listen to when he sings "As long as I'm beside her" part.  He's articulating each individual word and sounds great!

Just woke up after attending the show.   The show started around 930 although they were saying he was going on at 830. I guess to get you inside so you would spend some cash.
I thought scotts voice sounded really good. There were a bunch of people were I was standing heckling scott saying (play some hits, this show sucks, things about drugs) Scott made
a comment about not playing the same ole boring setlist.  I did see people leaving, not sure if it was due to setlist or it being a monday. All in all thought the show was good, thought
they were better a few years back when I saw them at the starland ballroom.
Met doug outside the venue before show, cool dude.

Well, clearly he can't please everybody. I read online many complaints about the setlist (mostly of course about him NOT playing hits), when I (and many other people) couldn't be happier about it.

The problem here is that this tour is advertised as a "Greatest Hits" tour...and then there are just a couple of hits and mostly deep cuts. Which I'm totally fine with, but it's kind of false advertising, and I can understand that some people may feel cheated.

Still, I hope Scott doesn't mind the critics and keeps on rocking that amazing setlist! :)

alright what's up with Scott? He's lost weight and he's articulating he's words now. Listen to any of those clips, he doesn't have the slurred drawl when he says words now. It's making all the difference in his singing and he sounds great. This is the best he's sounded since 2007, because he's actually articulating words and oppose to mumbling them.

I bet if he did an interview now he'd sound 1000x better

Can I just say this has been the best Scott performance I've seen in a while!

He looked great!  His voice sounded amazing!  He was dancing all around!  He just seemed to have such a fire that's been missing for a while.  And when the band was jamming and he wanted to articulate a message it all came across loud and clear and was more than cohesive!!
To top that off he went on at 9:33pm and (aside from a 3 minute encore break) rocked straight through until about 11:15pm.  Making 1 hour & 42 minutes the longest I've seen him stay on stage in a while.
The setlist (shared above) was a little of everything and deeper cuts than you'd normally get from any other set.

Put those all together and it's no contest that this far surpassed the past couple of STP performances I've seen.

The audience was pretty packed.  There was your handful of people who just wanted to scream "PLay Barbarella" all night long and a couple demanding STP after every song.  You can't escape a dummy here and there.
Scott really only dipped into his solo stuff, otherwise he threw out a song from each full band release he's been a part of (except No. 4 & Libertad).
The sound was just amazing.  I hope someone was able to tape.

The only other note I can make is that Scott made a couple passing comments and then once very loud and clear that he was  (paraphrasing here but very close to his actual words) "tired to playing boring setlists that never change" and that "this mini-solo tour was to prove the point that rock & roll shouldn't be so much about a perfected set"

I'm guessing that's somewhat a statement on STP shows.  I honestly had always assumed the lack of evolution in STP setlists from night-to-night or tour-to-tour was mostly his doing... We'll see if this desire of his holds up on Wednesday when I go to the Asbury Park show.

Hold me closer.....closer.....let me go!
