Sometimes I think there might be still some Hostility within the group which is why it's so hard to get them in a room together to write songs together.

HOLY SHIT! Never seen this before! Not sure how, I've seen a bunch of Weiland with Stern but somehow missed this. Thank you for posting! That being said I wish they would of spoke with DEAN, ROB AND ERIC more......Seems like a waste. So did Eric just not want to talk when Scott asked him about the temple? That was odd...... So was the random Jimmy Kimmel.......WTF?

Have yall seen the interview when they we're on Adam Corolla? I'd say its the best STP interview of all time, it made me like Adam Corolla and I didn't like him at all, I even disliked him quite a bit.... Here it is:

Yeah I have a feeling Their not as into STP as they all could be because Scott has so many side prodjects going on and I think they want him to be more dedicated to STP than his other stuff.

When this first made its way around this board, everyone said the same thing--Dean was obviously uncomfortable.


I don't get that from the video. I think everyone is having fun. These guys have down thousands of interviews. Scott will always get 95% of the questions. I think everyone is having fun by the end, just a little bored in the beginning when nothing is being addressed to them.


The only uncomfortable moment I sensed was Howard asking them if they wish Scott would stop drinking. They seemed overly cautious about not saying anything controversial or personal.


Still, seeing this makes me wonder what the hell Scott must have done in order for this firing to occur as it has. Dean seemed pretty adamant that there wasn't animosity, and that everyone stayed in contact from 2002-2008. He also said that he always knew they would get back together.


Recent events suggest that feeling is gone. And it is especially peculiar that there has been ZERO explanation.

Funny how in this interview Howard is saying that if the front man leaves the band there's no band anymore...look where we are now


The more I watch the more I wonder what made them decide to fire Scott. A hiatus is one thing...but it couldn;t have been good if they fired him.

why are we still looking for an explanation? if the reason is because of scott's addictions, why would you want them to come out and say that and bash the guy in public.......and what if they come out with a generic explanation of, "creative differences"...nobody will be happy with that. Lose-lose for STP.
and why from watching this video are we wondering why they fired scott. just because it may have all "appeared" to be great, this interview is not at all current. Alot can happen in a short period of time. Isn't anyone married here?? If so you know animosity can come just like that and out of nowhere.  Arguments can blind side any two people, let alone 4. surely things could have changed in a day, weeks or months with these guys...and did.

We all thought a reunion was a lost cause. We saw animosity run high in 96-97, 2002-2008. So much so that getting back together was a surprise. Beyond that, to hear they're brothers and know each other better than they know their families--likely true--it seems as if no rift could break them, at least in hindsight.


But this firing is something new.
