Well from that audio its very clear that Slash would rather there be no VR than VR with Scott.

Too bad STP although a great live band in the past, are no match for Slash, Duff, Dave, and Matt.  The only musician in both bands that are equivalent are Eric and Matt.  Slash pisses all over Dean and Duff all over Robert.  Wake up people, STP has not been the same since prior to VR.  Same set lists over and over and 80 minute shows do not cut it anymore.  If you are to tour year after year, you should change your set lists or put out some new music, not tour on one album for two years.  Also try putting out an album that is more than 41 minutes long.  Don't get me wrong I loved STP in the 90's and early 2000, but the time has come to move on.

Hope this is BS like Slash said.  What it sounds like to me is Scott, Duff, and Dave Kushner have been trying to orchestrate a reunion before talking to Slash, and Slash has no interest.  Scott's really a dumbass, I mean what's the point of VR reuniting as a fully functional band?  For occasional shows I can get, but for an album?  There's no legacy it's adding to, what's the point?

STP Shows: 5/1/08, 6/24/08, 12/31/08, 7/1/09, 5/25/10, 6/5/10, 10/29/10, 9/22/12, 5/30/13, 9/1/13
Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07
Scott Weiland Shows: 12/14/08, 12/8/11

Slash and Dave proved they can't play one STP song, or at least didn't care enough to look up the right chords.  You're a troll.

I can't listen to the audio of Scott talking at work right now, but what the fuck??! I'm so confused on why he would say that when it's clearly not true. I'm actually embarassed for him...having Slash shoot his comments down like that. Hopefully this doesn't get ugly (i.e. April 2008), I don't really care about VR reuniting but it would be nice to see the guys from VR at least be on good terms with each other. Also REALLY hope this doesn't do anything to negatively affect STP
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

Usually people are entitled to their own opinions, but you just sound like an idiot. If anything, it's time to move on from Velvet Revolver. It's a one time thing, and it should stay that way. Seriously, though, to say that Slash pisses on Dean and Robert is the most idiotic thing I've read in a long time. Also, VR uses the same setlists night after night, so that argument is invalid. Regardless, if your argument is that Slash is superior to the DeLeos because of setlists changing every night, than please do not even respond to this post. I will not argue with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Furthermore, if you don't like STP now, or want to discuss what they're doing today, or especially talk shit about the DeLeo brothers, then leave. We don't have tolerance for "fans" who think that they're just giving honest criticism.

The man chosen to replace Scott Weiland as frontman for Velvet Revolver is … Scott Weiland. The oft-troubled singer is back with the band, and they’re making new music with an eye on a third studio album.
During an interview with ABC News Radio, Weiland talked about how far the band has already progressed. “They gave me a couple of songs and myself and Dave (guitarist Dave Kushnter) and Duff (bassist Duff McKagan) are gonna be getting together for a song writing session next week.”
Before the end of 2012, the band will be hitting the road. It won’t be until after Slash finishes touring in support of his upcoming solo album ‘Apocalyptic Love,’ which hits stores on May 22. Weiland said late summer or early fall is a fair timetable for a few live dates.
“We’ve all grown a lot,” the singer says about the past turbulence which split the band up. ”We’re able to put egos and differences and old … conflicts aside and so that’s really cool.”
The band has been on hiatus since 2008 when Weiland was let go after a series of conflicts and his arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. Corey Taylor of Slipknot was mentioned as a potential replacement, but reportedly Slash wasn’t on board with that decision. Just two weeks ago Weiland and Matt Sorum speculated that a reunion would be possible.

To me it's just another stupid subconscious setup for them all to relapse again.  Scott just please stay away from these enablers.  You guys couldn't even keep decent chemistry through an album and a half.  Slash/Duff/Matt are their own little club and you always be a hired gun to them.
Hold me closer.....closer.....let me go!
