That video of Coma is great, but for me Down from Rolling Rock trumps all. That performance is mind blowing Scott's head looks like it's about to explode the entire time
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

I loved "Coma". The crowd reaction was intense, especially when Dean starts soloing. Hearing that for the first time I was like "holy fuck!".

Best STP show I've ever been to... best concert (I can see myself around the 1:10 mark in the Trippin' video)

Totally worth standing outside in a field of mud for 8 hours and getting severe sun burn.  IMO, it was the peak of their live performances.  They played long shows, acoustic sets, and you never knew what to expect.

I agree! Worth all that and the very long road trip up and getting lost on the way back!

I had only seen STP 2 or 3 times before this concert and brought along 3 friends who had never seen them. What a great way to introduce them to the live STP experience.

Oh man, and do you remember the "free water" they shot up in the sky from fire trucks to rain down on everyone? What a great fucking day and concert!
Awesome memories.

Yeah, it was so hot out that day they were really trying to stop people from getting dehydrated. I was on the front railing at stage left, so there was no way I was making it back out.  Luckily there was a group of girls with me so the security at the stage would try to pass out water bottles. (Didn't hurt that they were flashing either.)

What a badass song. STP needs to write more songs like this for No. 7!

Definitely my favorite guitar solo and I'm really really glad I got to see it live in 2008. Can't believe that was almost 4 years ago already....

Creep is my favorite performance from this show. Perhaps, the most intense too, on a different level, but still instense. The crowd singing along really gets me. How was this not on the setlist? FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THE VIDEO IN AWHILE. Please do yourself a favor and watch from 2:41-3:06. What a cool moment. Also, look at Dean at 4:38. I dare somebody to find a video of him looking happier than that specific moment.

Big Empty always sticked out to me too at this gig. This has to be the best STP performance of all-time! They litterally have the crowd by the balls.

I was at this show as well.  Big Empty was pretty epic at this performance I agree.  Especially love the part where scott yells out "you know what i'm talking about" after the lyrics "too much trippin and my souls worn thin."   I've seen STP probably 10 times this was definitely the peak of their live performances.  It makes me sad to realize how tame their live shows have become compared to 01' performances.

Do I remember the heat?  How could anyone forget it?!

It had to have been in the 90s. No clouds. No cover except in the stands, and those were filled with sleeping drunk people, I think.

I didn't go to the bathroom the whole time I was there. I was like Costanza in that Seinfeld episode where they went to India. I WILL NOT use a port-o-let. Period. So when we left there we stopped at the first fast food joint we could find. Honestly, I think I peed for a full five minutes. I never had to go so bad in my whole life. Because of that, it was my first and last festival.

I did go to the "reunion" show at Rock on the Range in 08, but sent my sister early and showed up just before our boys. I showed up, made my way to her, rocked out, and then left. Haha.

Nevertheless, RR2.0 was an absolute blast and I will never forget it. Im glad I went - the whole show was completely epic. :)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

I think it safe to say that this was one of STPs best peformances, and the fact that the crowd was huge and really into it and Scotts energy was crazy at this time.  EVery song is killer, even the knew ones, only COMA has some issues from Scott with the "dont stays"

I believe that Trippin' performance is their best performance. At the time I got my hands on the Thank You CD/DVD set 8 or 9 years ago, I had yet to watch any live footage of STP. When that performance hit my tv set, I was floored. I had goosebumps like crazy when he held the mic over the crowd and they belted out the lyrics.

Since then I've been able to see the whole set list from that show. The energy at that show was amazing. I can only imagine how cool it was for some of you who were there in the middle of that.  8)
