Any guess as to when we'll get details on a Core reissue now that the dates are out of the bag?

That is an excellent question...I wonder if that is going to happen though...I really hope it does!

We'll most likely hear about it the week before it's set for release.

Though in all serousness, this isn't just an STP thing, it'd also be something that would benefit Atlantic Records in royalties as well (without having to put too much $ up front).  If for the simple fact of free promotion, Atlantic alone would be spreading the word to generate interest to coincide with the tour.  And the fact that we haven't heard a single thing about it from anywhere (Atlantic, STP, industry rumor) this far into June, with the tour just over 2 months away, doesn't make me feel very secure that we'll get a rerelease at all.
Hold me closer.....closer.....let me go!

My STP Concertology:  6/22/01, 10/26/01, 4/21/02, 4/23/02, 5/18/08, 5/26/08, 5/31/08, 8/6/08, 8/8/08, 8/10/08, 7/17/09, 5/18/10, 9/3/10, 9/4/10, 7/25/11, 7/26/11, 9/10/11, 9/1/12, 5/6/18

I've said it a few times on here ... take notice at how Pearl Jam did the "Ten" re-release ... stuck a new song on it, "Brother" & it went to #1 on the rock charts ... no reason that STP couldn't re-release/re-record a B-Side from the Core sessions ... I dare say that there's more of a place at rock radio for STP over PJ ...

no reason that STP couldn't re-release/re-record a B-Side from the Core sessions ...

All the B-Sides of Core were alternate versions of album tracks.

As for the Core re-release, I honestly am highly doubting it now. There should at least be SOME news about it. But NOTHING is out there.

Kind of ironic, considering how much they've pushed Core these last 3 years, that they miss out on the chance to re-release it.

They should auction off the opportunity to sing the intro to dead & bloated with Scott on stage.  They'd make a lot of money with that.  Also, auction off the micro phone that Scott uses at each show.  I'd buy that shit.

Does anyone think that the Starry Nights Music Festival in Bowling Green, Kentucky is possible? The lineup hasn't been announced but Cage the Elephant has been confirmed. The reason I think the festival could be possible is because they have played with CTE before, the dates make sense (September 28-29), and I believe one of the cancelled shows last year was Louisville. While I highly doubt they'll reschedule it, if they do it would make sense for them to play the festival as well.
STP: 2/19/2011 - Thackerville, OK; 4/30/2011 - Birmingham, AL; 8/16/2011 - Austin, TX; 8/17/2011 - Dallas, TX; 11/5/2011 - Concho, OK
SW: 3/27/2013 - Dallas, TX; 4/30/2014 - Dallas, TX; 5/3/2014 - Little Rock, AR; 9/20/2014 - Shreveport, LA; 11/9/2015 - Dallas, TX

I heard on Philly's 93.3 WMMR the other day that the Hershey Rock Allegiance show (2012-09-01) will be a Core 20th Anniversary show. The DJ said they would play Core from start to finish. Not sure how true it, but that's what they are promoting over here.

Scott was making it seem like Core 20 was a done deal. Then I heard that it would be a "Greatest hits" tour, which is unlikely since that has been the tour for the past couple of years :/
Well, if they played core in full with some other hits like "Big Empty" "Interstate" "Vasoline" and "Sex Type Thing" after it, that would be amazing. We'll have to wait and see I guess. The first date isn't far away at all :)
STP Shows: 9/5/10 - 7/26/11 - 8/6/11 - 9/10/11 - 8/24/12
STP with Chester: 9/6/13 - 4/25/15
Weiland Shows: 11/28/12 - 3/12/13 - 8/14/13 - 9/14/14

Seeing as I just bought tickets for this a few days ago, I would be remarkably thrilled if they went. I have high high doubts though because it appears the lineup is already set and it would be too good to be true

For as long as I can remember "never following through" has been the M.O. for STP. They never do what they say they're going to do. (Do I really need to give examples?)
Over the years, I've blamed everyone from the label to management...at what point is this the band's fault?

Next month marks the 20th anniversay for Core and we haven't heard a thing. The Core tour isn't a Core tour at all.

I love this band to death but man they need a crash course in business management and fan appreciation.
STP: 07.31.00 | 08.04.01 | 10.24.01 | 04.23.02 | 10.11.02 | 05.31.08 | 09.05.10
SW: 11.30.11 | 03.12.13 | 08.29.14 | 03.10.15
VR: 05.28.04 | 05.18.07 || AoA: 02.01.07
CheSTP: 09.06.13 | 04.25.15 | 09.20.15 || JeffTP: 07.28.18 | 09.15.19

There wasnt anything official, just some of the band said they were planning this and that yada yada yada and there doing something else .. typical STP, they never fail to flip flop on there words.

Hey at least there touring so there doing something, besides I think it would be cheese if they plyed CORE at every show.  But they should deff.  plan at least a couple of dates where they attempt it.

What day was it released. the dates around that day is when they should play it

I'll be in Hershey to enjoy the show. I seen STP 2 summers ago with caged in Cleveland. They did most of the purple songs. No sour girl. This will be my 5th time seeing them. Can't wait.

I actually think this was their plan... it might start tomorrow so we'll see.
