in honor of the 20th anniversary tour, there should be a "Win a bass lesson with Rob" contest ... and I should win.

I just hope that he will do something (anything) about his hair, I really don't like the way he wears it since the Cristmas concerts, it makes him look a lot older than he is...

It would be cool if they had fun with it. Kind of poke fun at themselves and the grunge "style." Who knows though... at the same time, I'd probably hate that. Haha.

Even though their look has changed over the years, they've always been elegant about things. I'd prefer them keeping it that way.
Do you like STP? Check out my band! We're heavily STP-influenced. http://dropdeadsixtymusic.bandcamp.com/

Wicked! I heard a little about this and was pretty psyched. It'd be pretty cool if they did like what Pearl Jam did with "Ten" and it's reissue, except STP could take it further. They could do archival footage, remaster all the old material, maybe have like a photobook type thing along with it, maybe include some of the unreleased tracks. Kind of a big box set thing for the reissue of Core. I'd buy it, haha. I read they were putting together archival footage and thinking about doing a coffee table book, which they planned to do back in '03. It'd be great if the band went on tour and did "Core" in it's entirety, I have faith in Scott that if he vocally prepares, stays sober, and gets good rest, he could sing closer to actual Core era sound. Not to say he has a voice unfit for it now, that couldn't be further from the truth, he sounds great. I don't know about you guys, but I believe in him. I've heard stuff from 2008 where he's completely sober and he's able to pull off Plush really great. I don't know if any of you have heard the recent VR performance at the House of Blues, but it was great. Scott did the best performances of the songs I had ever heard, and it's his most recent performance too and that's a good sign. 2012 may be a bright year for STP. I can't wait for their new album either, I'm hoping for it to come out Early 2013. I guess only time will tell what the band will do, they're pretty spontaneous and tend to pull out some real surprises sometimes.

Also, on the setlist that's on here that you proposed, I like it. The focus is on "Core" but not so much that it distracts from other big hit albums like "Purple" and "No.4".

I'd like to see Scott dig up the 7 Up jacket for the tour, he wore it once in 2006.  Of course Mary might have burned it though in 2007 haha.

Velvet Revolver Shows: 7/22/06, 9/15/07
Scott Weiland Shows: 12/14/08, 12/8/11

Is there any official word on whether they are going to remaster the album?

I know they are doing the tour, so I think any new tunes will be a long time from now.

Just a question...has it ACTUALLY been confirmed that the guys recorded a non-demo version of Only Dying in 1993 for The Crow soundtrack?  Can someone confirm this?  Maybe the guy who got us the files for You Can't Drive Me Away, Heed the Water Whisperer, etc., all those years ago?!?  I feel like this great song has enough mythology behind it that it merits asking someone who knows.

If it does exist, I guess that song would make more sense on the Purple 20th anniversary re-release (since it was likely recorded during those sessions)?  Although, I'd love to see it on a Core reissue.

Sounds like a petition in the making here.  Who's with me?
