Nice to read a positive review about the Christmas album. Not to mention they are apparently hoping for another one

I like it. Well not really, but if I am going to be forced to listen to crappy X-mas music this Christmas I will be sure it is this album.

I really dig the first track a lot. Funny. In certain areas it doesn't sound like Scott in the least, and I would never guess it was him without knowing about the release beforehand. I'm only one track in, but I really love the arrangement. I think he sounds like a stud singing with eggnog in one hand and a mistletoe in the other. It's the great Scott Weiland, Charlie Brown!

He does sound drunk on the first verse of the second song. After the initial verse ends, I think he sounds quite a bit better. Oddly, the third track, much maligned by many here, sounds good to me. His cadence is very slow, but I think it suits the arrangement. I like the third track quite a bit. Track 2 might have to grow on me, but I like the first and third tracks.

Track 4 is straight pimpin. I love it. Track 5 doesn't stray far from what makes the original so great. I love the horns and Scott bumps up the pace and lets his happy out of the can. Good to hear. I really enjoy track 6, holy shit. Sounds great. Not sure who has added the other vocal accompaniement, but I dig it. It sounds serene.

The music on this album has been a surprise. I didn't expect such great instrumentation. This track features a beautiful, subtle piano layer. Not sure who is responsible for the musical arrangements but it sounds like Christmas to me. This is a jazzy ass record, unlike anything we've heard Scott participate in. With the copious slew of instruments used in each song, it reminds me of 12 bar in that sense- the wide ranging sonic landscape behind the vocals.

Scott really croons the shit out of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Not sure if this is an old vocal from a few years ago, but it sounds fantastic.

I'm currently on Happy Christmas and Many More (his original).  I'm digging this a lot more than I thought I would.  i was trying to reserve judgement until it came out, but honestly I wasn't expecting much.  i'm really wondering when he recorded all of these vocals.  They sound really strong.  Now we wait and see if he ever busts any of them out live!

I have to admit Tracks 2 and 3 aren't as bad as I thought. Still nowhere near my favorites, but still. I love "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", too.

Scott has a great talent!  The way he is able to change his voice, and sound so different depending on the year of the recording is amazing!  Trully an artist, and I will defiantly buy this album!

Oh thank god. This is way better than the samples made it sound.

Yup. I've admittedly changed my stance on this album a bit. I guess you can't really judge a christmas album by 30 second samples, it's not that bad. I still think Tracks 2 and 3 are pretty bad but the rest are actually listenable upon full listening
When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.
