Isnt that more of your Opinion than a fact?
Well if that were the case, i can name you other musicians better than Robert.

He wasn't stating it as a fact. Sounds like an opinion to me...
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

Roberts got a better ear for music, and he has quicker hands, he also writes a hell of alot more music than duff does

Im not here to attack nor defend both Musicians. If you want to prove that go ask them to have a Battle of the Bassist, than with that at hand make your conclusions.

yeah gretzky that was a funny post...just keep away from my house.

and while I prefer Robert's bass playing to Duff's, saying that he's a better bass player because he writes music doesn't mean anything. In fact, unless you give some clear criteria for "better" you can't really prove anything, because I think you'll find that Duff will be always be a better bass player for Guns N Roses than Robert- even if Rob can play funkier, quicker or more tuneful lines. Which you won't know unless you meet them- since what they record or play live is not necessarily the extent of their capabilities. You just have to look at a slew of studio musos to see.

Duff does rock out on bass though. Both guys are dam good. :)

cheers, chill folks =)

Well if anyone needs any insight to good, and quickly made up bass playing, then listen to the beginning of track 5 on the Unplugged and More bootleg... that about sums it up...

Duff is the perfect bassist for VR
Rob wouldn't be.

Now that comment above I do indeed agree with.
But I was referring to bass playing.

i prefer robert over duff, but i think duff works better in VR.

I dont know if this has been brought up before, but I was just thinking about this.

Up until a few days ago, I had only heard core, purple, tiny music, and the singles from no. 4 and sldd. i just got no.4 and sldd, and I was wondering if anyone else thought that VR's sound sounds pretty similar to the harder songs on the no. 4 album

Contraband is a really good album in my opinion. I like at least 2/3rds of all the songs on the album. :P
