Happy Birthday to the greatest record I've ever heard.
I was coming back from watching Sweeney Todd when I bought it, that was the plan all the way. Go to the store and pick up SLDD.
I only had Core back then and -like I've said before- I really liked it but never "blew me".
Every new record I play it first on my cd player -yes, I still own one- and the next day at the stereo (old and crazy habits). So SLDD was not the exception (I could not do the stereo part until a week later, I thought I was going to die of anxiety) When I first listened it, it was mindblowing, this time STP did blow me. Every second of it was precious. Lyrics were the first thing that hit me, I honestly think SLDD has the best in Scott's whole carrear.
And like Scott (loungefly611) "But I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round and the music is too loud" was, is and will always be my favorite line.
Hello, it's late, Bi-Polar Bear, and A song for sleeping were like the "WOWs" of the album, I even cried with A song for sleeping the first time -there you go I said it-
And ironically, this record also has my least fav STP song: Regeneration. But I found it out months later.
