It's about to get ugly, but somehow they turn it around into a respectable performance. It also seems like Scott recognized his mistakes and went along with the jam, albeit pretty drunk-like!

I'm sorry, but that was very painful to watch. However, to me he looked sick, and he didn't really seem drnk so i'm hoping that's it.

During the first part I was thinking that it sounded pretty good, but then they screwed it up. But like I said before, he looked sick.

He does sound sick. I just think that could have been a much bigger trainwreck than it turned out to be. Somehow the band pulled it out of their asses and guided him to the end of the song, instead of just walking off.

Thanks for posting the video.  Honestly, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, and the way those guys pulled it off was simply masterful.  Scott wasn't feeling well, it was the end of the show, and he just went on automatic pilot and lost his place.  Who hasn't done that?  I'm going to give him a pass.  Hopefully he's getting some sleep.  I'll be watching him very closely tomorrow.  :-\

Def not as bad as some other screw ups i've seen over the last few years.  The guys are human and will make mistakes sometimes, they did they're best to recover and finish the song and it wasn't awful.  Are they taking a break from touring after this leg is finished?  Hopefully they can relax a while over the holidays and then get to work on the next album.

My wife & I went to see Neil Diamond at Scotland's national stadium in Glasgow during the summer.

After an extended band intro, the first thing he said was, "We're going to be here for a long time - there's no interval."

And that's exactly what happened. Neil Diamond is 70 years old. He respects his fans and gives value for money. It's not that hard.

The video posted above is not that bad. It's ok, hey he had a cold, it's actually pretty good - check out the improvisation. Wait a minute, it's the best live track ever...honesty anyone?

There is a wicked respiratory virus in Ontario right now that only hits the lungs and literally last 2weeks or more and cripples your train of thought and muscles.  The guy is human you know. Does anyone ever think flu or colds or just regular stuff unlike everything the media has brandished him with?

I really didnt think it was that bad.  I agree with him losing his spot and such.  I'll wait until I see a few more screw ups before I really get on the guys.

ya who knows foou33  they all gotta be run down and why back to Orillia again????   Koolhaus in TO would have just smoked this turn around.
I know they like Northern Ontario(who doesn't). It' s the cooler version of heaven on earth.   I'd still like to get my hands around the necks of this disfunctional tour planning staff

It defiantely wasn't terrible, Scott did miss his cue to fix it early (by going back to the intro when Eric started to pick the drum tempo again), but he started to do a bit of a Bowie impersonation and really began to wing it.  The most troubling thing is that the boys' were defiantely pissed if they walked out on Scott after this.

And I feel for Scott.  I don't know what it is, but I get the impression that Scott is kept on a short leash by the rest of the band and they can't wait to jump his ass whenever he screws up.  I also get the impression that Scott would like to play more songs every night but the rest of the band can't wait until their 90 minutes is up and they can leave.  It seems like 1 vs. 3 to me.

I actually feel sorry for Scott once he realises his mistake, poor guy. He looks embarrassed and awkward.  He tries to get it back but he doesn't seem to know what the boys are doing and where he should reenter the song, which is normal...even I got confused as to what part of the song should be coming next (I say 'even I' because I'm sitting at my laptop comfortably analysing the whole thing, whereas Scott is on stage with the adrenalin of having fucked up and 1000s of people watching him)

BTW whoever filmed this filmed the mistake and Dean's subsequent realisation perfectly!

I don't think this mistake is anything to go by....shit happens.  It's going to sound funny but I honestly think it was the mask's fault!  He fucked up just as he took it off, I think he was disoriented and preoccupied and he just came in with the wrong lyrics.

But I do think that a more 'awake' Scott would have been able to adapt and save it quicker than he did, and I also think that having a cold is no excuse because for someone who has med and drug problems, he should be more cafreful taking cold medication that may effect his performance.

And if they walked off stage at the end it means that the band were unhappy and didn't just laugh the whole thing off.  I wonder why Scott didn't do Trippin....because he lost his mojo after D&B or because he forgot or...?

Not a major deal, but still, upsetting after the previous concert went so well and upsetting that Scott is still having blurry days  :o

I hate it when someone posts something while I'm writing my reply and when that said post basically says everything I wrote in MY post, but in a better way.... ;)
