I'll be heading to the concert tomorrow morning from Ironton, OH.  I'm so excited to see STP again!!

I will be spending a few days in the Cleveland area and am planning to visit the R&R Hall of Fame.  Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Liz

Liz - the Science Center (right by the Rock Hall) is pretty sweet. There's an AMAZING grilled cheese restaurant in Lakewood (not far from downtown) called Melt Bar and Grilled - one of my absolute favorites! XOXO is a delicious steak restaurant - a little pricey but very much worth it. That is located in the Warehouse District, and there are several clubs/bars in that area. Drinking isn't my thing, so I can't tell you which are better than others, but it is a popular, "hip" place for nightlife.

Our very own Scott Weiland was born and raised in Chagrin Falls - there are some locally-famous waterfalls there (hence the name) and some shopping, if the heat and humidity aren't horrendous.

Tower City (downtown) offers some shopping, though its not great. Beachwood Place is our nicest mall, by far, and is roughly 30 mins or so from downtown - if you're looking to spend some cash. :)

Hope you enjoy the show and your stay in our little big city. :D
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

I hope you aren't too uncomfortable at the concert.  May the Gods of Rock & Roll blow cool breezes your way.......along with some Weiland sweat!!   ;)

Haha, thanks girly. As long as there is Weiland nearby, I cannot possibly be uncomfortable. I'm pretty pissed about not being able to do GA and stand in the front row - but I will live. Baby is very excited about going to his/her first concert - and I am proud that it will be STP. :)

If you come up with any specifics you want to do and I can be of any help, shoot me a PM. I'm always glad to help!

I remember this show they played in San Jose where Scott said "the place where Eric and I were born, Kaiser hospital" or something like that. It was off the Family Values tour. Are you sure he was born in Chagrin Falls?

Hey everybody, have a great time at this show, be careful in the heat, and please let us know what happens!

Liz, if you're looking to stay with the Rock n Roll theme, we've got a Hard Rock Cafe and a House of Blues.  The neighborhood where HoB is, E. 4th Street, has a bunch of very good restaurants.

And if you're "A Christmas Story" fan, the house that used for the exterior shots in the movie has been turned into a Christmas Story museum.  Christmas in July!

Thanks for the tip.  Might get there a little later to avoid some of the heat.

Thank you for the correction.  And how horrible is it that I've lived here my whole life and still haven't experienced Slyman's for myself?  I know - I'm a bad Clevelander!   :(

Also - thank you to all you worry-warts out there (Cori, Holly, Scott...) that texted me and told me to have fun and be careful.  I promise I won't do anything too out of control.  :)  I'm going to try to act like a normal concert-goer at this show and not the spastic, hysterical fan I usually am.

They look and sound great. Unless Bi-Polar Bear has been rearranged in the setlist, it appears to have disappeared. So far:

Crackerman
Wicked Garden
Vasoline
*Heaven and Hotrods
Between The Lines
Hickory Dichotomy
Still Remains
*jam*
Big Empty
Silvergun Superman
*jam*
Plush
