why do I have the sinking suspicion we'll never actually see this album?

I would say the fact that he has his own label to release it on would make it very easy, but I think the biggest hurdle will be to get the rights for some of the songs that have appeared elsewhere.

Like others, I would love a new album of original material, but frankly I'm just happy he's still out there doing it. Here's hoping for many more years and albums.

Let's hope this doesn't end up like the live cd that was supposed to be released...

Can't You Hear Me Knocking is a favourite Stones tune of mine, and I really didn't like the version Weiland did with Santana, but I will check this out anyway.

Awesome choice on the Radiohead cover. "Let Down" is their best song.

Let Down is by far my favorite Radiohead song as well.  Curious to hear Dead Flowers as well.  Has a very country edge to it and I enjoy it when he dips into his country twang a bit.

But overall, pretty indifferent about this.

Yes , the "But Not Tonight" cover is better than the original, I also like the "reel around the fountain" cover much better than the original.

Not big on his versions of "Fame" and "We will Rock you"

Totally agreed

Also, totally agreed.  :)

Curious that Dancing Days is slated for this album, again. I like hearing Scott doing an occasional cover tune but would much rather hear his voice on new album with all original material, either solo style or with STP. Eh, I have to trust that he is doing what he wants to do.

I'm surprised they didn't throw 'Revoluion' on there as well, if not just to have a Beatles cover on there, he often lists them as a major influence.
Nothing matters again, I didn\'t think we\'d last that long

Radiohead? you gotta be kidding me Scott...

And why so many covers we have already listened to!? make new covers instead... i know he got many other favorite tracks he can make covers of...

Its exciting but also a bummer :/
