Scott Weiland:
And I also recorded an album of some of my favorite cover songs while I was on a break to go along with this, and that will be available with one of the versions as well. That actually turned out so well that we’re going to release a single and put it out on its own, ‘cause I think it’s…it’s sort of my Pin Ups, I guess you’d say.

Track listing:

1. I Am The Resurrection
2. Personality Crisis
3. Francis Farmer
4. Let Down
5. Into Your Arms
6. Dead Flowers
7. Waiting for Superman
8. Ashes to Ashes
9. Can't You Hear Me Knocking
10. But Not Tonight
11. We Will Rock You
12. Reel Around The Fountain
13. Dancing Days
14. Fame
15. Jean Genie

I'm a bit surprised by the Stone Roses cover, it will be interesting to hear him do that, and But Not Tonight is one of the most improved songs from original to cover I have ever come across. But the the Bowie stuff is less of a surprise!

Excited to hear the new covers.
Hope to hear "We Will Rock You" without that awful DJ Hurricane's overproduction.
Glad to see that my favorite Scott's cover "Ashes To Ashes" is finally going to be officially released.
What the fuck @ "Dancing Days" and the Radiohead song.

Good tracklist! Look forward to this, but couldn't he have done a different Queen song? Queen are my favourite band of all time, there are SO many more challenging and interesting tracks he could have tried.

Perhaps he will do something really different with it, I hope so.

excellent news, but I wonder if some of these songs are really 're-recorded' or are just the verisons that already exist.  Fame, Reel, Not Tonight, Ashes and Knocking will probably be the same verisons, but Dancing Days and We Will Rock You I could see being redone.  Should be interesting either way, any word on a release date from anyone?

Frank Reina once told me that he and Scott worked on another version of "Ashes To Ashes" after Big Blue Missile broke up. I can imagine Scott using the same vocal track from BBM version though, since it's nearly perfect and wasn't officially released before so there shouldn't be any legal restrictions to use it.

I can imagine Scott using the old vocal tracks on the most of the "new versions" of the very old covers while they will be completely different musically. Well, maybe with a few big exceptions.

"Dancing Days" cover is the biggest question...

This looks pretty solid. I hope there is a "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" bonus track.

Scott is still going to release his Xmas album this year. I assume this track will be on it.

Yes , the "But Not Tonight" cover is better than the original, I also like the "reel around the fountain" cover much better than the original.

Not big on his versions of "Fame" and "We will Rock you"

why do I have the sinking suspicion we'll never actually see this album?

I feel the same. I would love to see it...but, doubt it will ever happen.

Covers, huh? *yawn*  Not what I was hoping for when they said "new album" - especially when 5 of these are on other releases.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Considering it took 10 years for Happy to come out, I am not suprised at all that there are recycled tracks.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..
