Part of me wants a B-PB video, and part of me doesn't. Its no secret that I'm a selfish bitch - I really liked being the only one around here that has seen it live. :)

Look at it this way. You can still say you're the only one who's seen it with Scott on rhythm guitar.

If BBB is sang like anything other then his Tumble voice I'll be a little frustrated.

Man, I'll be pissed if he's still singing it like he did in 08. I KNOW he can sing it right, and I've stood up for the guy in every single "Scott can't sing because BBB sounds like shit" argument on the site. It would be nice for him to prove what I've been saying for 3 years.

Big Bang Baby sounded pretty awesome when they first got together right after Scott got out of rehab. Once the crazy hair and stuff started happening, he sort of lost it. It's a hard song to sing though, I think. I'm not a singer, what do I know?

WOW andrew that was the most polite reference to the voice loss associated with the red hair.  Proud of ya for not throwing in those words that people use around here about his past habits and the fact that people will still blame any little flaw on that eg. his one shoe was untied omg he was f'd up in my eyes and he never tied that shoe for the rest of the night LOL.
I've been singing grunge style music for years after talking 3 years of lames ass vocal lessons. Mosltly Layne,Kurt,Theory of a Deadman style combo. Only a couple Scott covers like ILS,Last Fight, etc. the easy ones in easy keys.  Yes the hair colors, wearing 30 necklesses, 5ties, etc. all comes with the gaping hole of imagination that opens up in your brain under the use of opiates.  As a user myself I've hair 10 diff colors, half my head shaved, craziest clothes purchases, etc.   The key factor of vocal loss is due to the dehydration of your vocal muscle.  You seriously need gatorades, warm teas, gum, halls, vicks, whatever, yo keep them moist or your voice gets damaged instantly and won't heal for several nights off.  Actually now they have a spray that comes in diff flavours that is specifically designed to keep your vocal muscles coated and is designed for the crazy world rock in roll. Says it right on the bottle. I bought a case lol.

Still no Bi-Polar Bear & Big Bang Baby on YouTube. Talked with one guy on YouTube who videotaped it and he said security was super tight on tapers, so I guess that's why we haven't seen it yet.

Found this video of Plush though. Scott looks really healthy during the pre-song chatter. He even does a little joke with Dean.

Also, I am glad to see they have the cool light show back. People said it would not fit in the venues when they were not using it, but I thought the venue they played in Reno was pretty small. Or am I wrong?

It's because of me they're playing Bi-Polar Bear.  8)

I told Dean they needed to play it when I met him last March in Kansas City.

I hope there's a video of it!

That's funny. Right after you finished talking to Dean I mentioned Bi-Polar Bear as one of my favorite STP songs to him.

Heh, nice. Then I guess we both deserve credit.

Now if only a video shows up online before they take it out of the setlist forever....

That was fun times my man. When I mentioned to both of them how much I loved SLDD Dean and Robert both seemed very humble and appreciative. I also got the feeling that fans don't mention that album much too often to them.

Wow, I need to see this played live. Scott has good energy, but I just think that is because it is the first show in awhile. Hopefully, it does not fade.

Lol its ok, i got confused for a second too. But what im trying to show or point out of that video is that if Scott could do that  in 2008.. he can definitely pull it out even better now! he had his downer, yeah, but with this videos we've been seeing lately, i think SCOTT WEILAND IS FUCKING BACK!

And he even sings BBB and bi polar bear :d

Scott could kick it into high gear any time. No question, he still has it. However, he seems to be comfortable with a more mellow approach live now for whatever reason.

No joke, Scott and Dean talked about how they had only played Bi-Polar Bear once before. I'm just as surprised as you are.

The fact that they talked about this makes me more optomistic
Oh it's on youtube watched last night from an STP facebook friend who is a very popular member tourer on this forum.  It's not my right to reveal the link cause it's his and I think it's cool to see all skepticism about the whole matter.
It sounded sweet as well and a great higher than the band full stage view too.
On another note as in the "new song" trick for Plush.....rehearsing  and then Dean adding to it this time was pretty crafty.
Still after all these years especially in Sarnia 2008 with the new lp anticipation. Scott went on for about 5mins talkin about how much time on the road they get together and days off are boring and talkin how they already have a few new songs down pat for the album.  He looked at the band and had a look of kinda scariness on his face like he might screw it up.  The sticks clicked and bang Plush and he started smiling instantly. That bastard really got me this time.
Can't believe I have still been fallin for it since96.

Called sobriety pal.  Stage fright happens to over 90% of musicians.  Just image walkin out in who knows what kinda performance, crowd attitude, security actions. Just to kill that fear involves some type of chemical.  High gear in my world is recklessness due to chemicals.  Age has nothing to do with it. Just look at StevenTyler jumpin of things breakin bones completely reckless but great entertainment watching a guy go spiraling all over the stage on.
Tellin ya since the May2010  shows at best if any he has had 2 or 3 drinks in him the entire night.  eg. #1 no swearing or muthafuca type stuff. #2 No minutes of rambling between songs. #No climbin ups thing like in STT
Nowadays he talks about the economy and the cost of everything and even handed a fan back their sun glasses because he said "you probably had to work hard to pay for those".  Even when fans are being dealt with attitudes by security he would preach to the fan not the security about tickets prices and why waste your money.
Do you think he'd give a rat's ass if he was OXY'd out or pissed drunk?  Now he has more emotion, care, reality, natural expressions and passion in his behavior. Shit I made him full blown blush at the wrif party in Detroit after he finished a joke. I said "Keep it going Scotty" right in the front row and he completely turned red.
I don't know what drugs or even alcohol you've done in your life but you do not blush on any of em.
The best thing about Scott not on nothin which all chems especially opiates and booze dehydrate and damage your vocal muscle instantly. BigBangBaby back next maybe even harder ones on his voice will appear.
I just think personally due to tech probs and occasional feedback he's trying to slowly lose the megaphone and emulates it buy cupping his hand over the mic. He has sung every STP megaphone song without it even D and B and STT except Naked Sunday.  I hope my instincts are wrong cause thats a great off the wall approach plus a trademark of Scott and STP.
