No old STP as of now - told someone before "this is not an STP show". Really like the songs so far!

About 8 songs in, people are booing... he said he.and.his solo band recorded 15 songs that influenced his life to go along with the book... mostly  covers... stone roses , lemonheads... he played Superman from happy in golashes... people are being.really nasty.   To be honest tho, this.should have been billed differently so that people knew what to expect. Everyone is.screaming STP . Scott even said.this isnt an STP show and told one guy to.fuck off.  More to come.

I hope somebody is able to record this. Sucks that it's such a shitty audience.

He just said "this isn't an stp show... does this look like Rob Deleo? Does this look like Dean Deleo? Does that look like Eric kretz? I hear a steady beat" ... then he tried to cover that up saying that drummers have different styles or somthing... Hmmmmmm?  I have video of that that ill post when I get home.

Casual fans just don't get it - they are going to expect STP and VR songs along with his solo songs

I can't wait to hear all of these different tunes, will be completely new and badass

I just left. I had to. I have to go to work in a few hours. The story telling and covers were great and Scott sounded fantastic BUT dude didn't hit the stage till 11:30. The crowd was drunk & pissed. Everyone would have been way more receptive at 10:00
BUT they did announce that Scott will be playing the Williamsburgh waterfront in June. Which I got really excited about because it's a outdoor venue on the East River with lower manhattan in te back ground. Definitely a place to see a show!!!
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)

One of the best shows I've been to...

....but, the shittiest crowd ever (minus the actual fans of course.)

I'm still blown away by how great the show was; plus endless surprise set list was just something I've never seen before.  Over the years I've seen set lists where there's a rare track played live, and I'm always jealous I wasn't there.  BUT, this show was just made up of those rare tracks, totally free, and it seemed enjoyable for the band as well as the actual fans.  I almost wish he didn't play 'Unglued' just so all the douchebags in the crowd would have been even more angry.  I don't know how a lot of these people got tickets, whether it was through radio stations, work, promotions, etc...  but they really didn't belong there.  It's not a baseball game where you get drunk and yell at the other team, it's a concert where you enjoy the fucking show.

As bad as the crowd was, the silver lining was...  all these assholes spent money on tickets... overpriced beer... waited around for 3+ hours... then didn't get to hear any of the songs they were hoping for, and had to go home angry. Fuck em.
