Does this mean that the overall set is short and that the whole set is composed of new unheard songs (would be pretty cool), or that within their normal size set there is a portion of unheard songs?  Either way we are going to hear some new songs as long as someone records it which I'm sure they will.

Hey everyone attending these upcoming SW shows, just want to let you guys know we are playing a short set of material we've never played live before. It will be very interesting but also very different from other shows. Just want you all to be mentally prepared.

No requests please. The list is already set and you guys couldn't guess in a million years what it is. So don't worry about it.

"material we've never played live before" -  they want to kill me, definitely.
Guess there's no chance of a second "Hello, it's late" shot.

I read it as 'the set will be short and full of all unheard stuff.'  True question is does "never played before" mean new material?  Old material they just never played in previous tours?  Mix of both?

Kinda bums me cause I'd love it to be a super marathon show to truly celebrate this big day in Scott's life.  But the fact that they're treating this as something special other than just throwing out the usual "singles" has me very excited.  I'll take it any way I can get it, but if it's all brand new stuff then c'mon Scott & Doug atleast send us off with a killer encore!

Boo, I don't want a short set. At least give me something above an hour.

Also, is this show sold out?

Lets not be complaining!  We're getting a show with a brand new set!  granted its his solo tour not an STP tour but its still songs we haven't seen live in a long time!  Lets be thankful for that!!  ;D

I have a feeling the radio station locked up a bunch of tickets to give away on air.  I'd keep checking over the weekend.  Often times many tickets get released to the public just days prior to a show.  All reserved/guestlists for artists/mgmt/radio/etc. that don't use them all come back to the public pool as shows get closer.

Yep.
And RXP was giving away tickets last week (during the Steve Craig show, you had to answer a trivia question. The one I heard I of course know the answer AND then Steve Craig played Mockingbird Girl). I'm not sure if they are giving anymore away
If you don't like STP, then you're pretty much not American (from a MO message board)

(I posted this in another section regarding his book) This info from the B&N website makes more sense with the concert being rather early. It seems like Scott will be taking with Pinfield about the book at the NYC signing. Doors are at 4pm now.
