Yeah... this is a rough one.  Kinda seems odd that he'd be doing both on the same day.

Looks like the only way to work it out is to get on the book line early, in order to get out early and onto the Gramercy line.... The Scott Weiland Line Marathon 2011!

WOAH....

I was doing some research about the show and saw this "Skip The Line Pass" from ticketmaster for $10... LINK: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0000469CC124B125?artistid=1413913&majorcatid=10005&minorcatid=0

I never heard of anything like this before, not quite sure how I feel about it.  I always hate waiting on line for hours, then all these old/douchey (non-fans) show up and walk right in cause they know people or work at the radio station, but this pass could really cut down on the massive waiting that day...

Yeah I will be like a marathon haha!
I saw that ticket thing too. Most of the shows at the gramercy offer it, but I dont know how early it let's you in or what the other details are. I'm used to standing in line for over 5 hours to be first so this will be interesting

How are his book signing in Union Square, and the show at the Gramercy both scheduled for 7:00pm that same day?

Book signing - http://store-locator.barnesandnoble.com/event/67224

Show - http://www.livenation.com/event/0000469CBFAFB086

So is he going to sign the book while people wait on line for the show?  Even if he only signed for an hour, I doubt he's gonna rush over to Gramercy and hop directly on stage.  It seems like it may not be possible to do both... or at least,  do the book signing and get a decent spot for the show.

EDIT: Looks like Scott's Facebook is listing the show at 8:00pm.
Still not sure how it'll work... guessing he'll sign for 2 hours from 7pm-9pm, THEN go to Gramercy theater and get on stage between 9-10pm???

Go tix!!!!!  So pumped.

Don't worry about not being up front.  Grammercy is SOOOO small that even if you walk in the door late you won't be far back.  Plus the couple solo shows I've been to, it's always been such a relaxed crowd that I got to a venue right before it was supposed to start and pretty much walked to the gate.

As for both times being listed around the same time....the last time any "headliner"/Scott production actually started at the ticket time was pretty much the first concert ever.  Headliners usually don't take the stage till 8:30/9 unless there's some sort of venue policy.  Plus you always have to prepare for atleast 20-30 minutes of Scott-lag.

Only bummer is that I'd like to be able to grab a bite to eat in between the signing and the show...ah well.  Not to mention, would really rather not have to carry around the book at a concert :-(
Hold me closer.....closer.....let me go!

My STP Concertology:  6/22/01, 10/26/01, 4/21/02, 4/23/02, 5/18/08, 5/26/08, 5/31/08, 8/6/08, 8/8/08, 8/10/08, 7/17/09, 5/18/10, 9/3/10, 9/4/10, 7/25/11, 7/26/11, 9/10/11, 9/1/12, 5/6/18

Saw my first STP show at this venue last year this time (gonna see them tonight in Memphis!). I'm gonna try to get tix for this one and then head to the book signing the next day in Jersey. May is looking to be a great month!
