*OFFICIAL* STP Song Tourney: Semi Finals "Final 4" (1-of-2)

Well there was certainly its share of controversy with the "Elite 8." There seemed to be an abundant amount of voters and somehow Plush squeezed out a win in literally the last moments of the poll. Having to move on, this is where the tourney takes us. The official results from the Quarter Finals:

Plush (50%) - Seven Caged Tigers (49%)
Vasoline (58%) - Kitchenware & Candybars (41%)
Interstate Love Song (51%) - Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart (48%) Trippin had a nice run by soundly defeating First Kiss on Mars, Lady Picture Show, and Dead & Bloated. Met its match with Interstate, however.
Army Ants (29%) - Adhesive (70%) - Adhesive lives!

We're down to one Core song, two from Purple, and one from Tiny Music.

The remained of this tourney will be held through this sites poll option. I do not want the results to be displayed before the poll concludes.

Man, we are all hypocrites.  We say how SLDD does not get enough love and yet we can't even vote one of its songs into the Final Four.  And we are supposed to be STP's biggest fans on the planet.

Vasoline over Plush, definitely. The first love is the first love, special, unique, bla bla bla but you rarely end up getting married to your first love.

I think Shapy did a great job with this tournament and regardless of cheat allegations I think that this is a true reflection of the board preference. 
It's funny that the 2 big and most stereotypical STP songs Plush and ILS are probably going to make the final, but it is what it is.  If the matchups had been a bit different earlier on, maybe we would have got some different results. But I think in any tournament Plush and ILS are always the majority favourites, which really goes to show how timeless they both are.

I am really surprised that Plush made it this far. If casual fans were voting, I'd expect it. I've always thought that Plush wasn't anywhere near their best work.
