Awesome video Tyrant!  Great sound quality too.  Thanks for the upload.

Looks like the Viper Room had a much better crowd than we did in NY at The Gramercy.

Wow @ scott's vocals on Frances farmer - cobainesque (Like the rawness!)
"Robert DeLeo is right there with him in the pocket, accenting the groove with his thick baselines (while exuding a stage presence midway between CIA agent, Mafia hit man, Latin gigolo and dance instructor, thanks to his slicked-back hair, ever-present shades and fluid moves)"

That review says they played Barbarella, is it accurate? Seems it's not.
Nice reading about the cover. That third shot is amazing.

Quote
We asked a tall guy if we could stand in front of him for the first three songs and he muttered something about being there since 3 PM and how he's heard that line before and how he almost ripped a camera out of a photog's hands at another concert. Luckily, we managed to shoot the show without having to stand near him, but what was up with the crowd last night?!
What did he/she expect? I've hit photographers at concerts. I had to pay, you're here for free... don't get on my way!

I wish we could get more information on when this cover album is going to be available for purchase. The less info I hear the more fearful I get this will never see the light of day

No Barbarella. I was a bit surprised. But it didn't matter. I talked to Doug after the show & he thanked me for making the trip from Vegas to see the show & showing support. He said and I quote "I guess you got a better show then New York. Though we didn't do a fucking thing different." I said it was a great show he said "It was 'weird', but good." Weird I think because its a show of songs Scott digs from other people. Scott said what he got slammed for saying in NY, it was a sort of "rehearsal".

The crowd was awesome. Not one person bitched about it being late. Not one person booed about the songs. Not one person was a dick. Everyone knew it was gonna be a good show. Maybe it being his home, them knowing how fortunate we all were to get a ticket, everyone was awesome.

Love L.A. crowds. THEY GET IT! Must be a chilled out west coast thing.

Scott was funny, chatty, no slurring & happy as fuck to do solo material. It shines through him how happy he is.

I had been to the Viper Room before. So I knew how tiny it is. Hard to explain to my friends just how small it is. Tey were all tripping how tiny it was when they got in. Even if you're in the back, your not far from the stage. Perfect place to see intimate shows.

We didn't get a reading at the signing, because that place was small as fuck too. Scott I'm sure was glad. He didt have to speak. He was kind, funny, and sweet. I made him laugh hard twice, which made him pause on both of his signatures. Hahaha!! Very nice & extremely kind. Everyone I heard from said he was as well. Gotta stop meeting that guy. I already love him enough. I walk away with a worse case of Weilanditis afterwards! Haha!

And VC forgot to hit the 1. We got there at 12, not 2.

Hey VC. Thanks for helping me out. I was about ready to jump off my balconey thinking I had to leave &wouldn't be able to go to the signing & show. You guys are aces. Ya saved me from being suicidal. And thanks for warming up my ice cold hands. Haha!

Here's a write up about the signing & show.

I was talking to one of the photographers from L.A. Weekly at the gig.

Haha...Weilanditis?  I suspect I am suffering from that same affliction.  Glad to know there's a name for it!  ;D

Do you mind sharing whatever it was that you said that made him laugh?  I'm thinking I might want to file that one away.  You know...for possible future use.  ;)

So glad you guys got a great show.  Thanks for telling your story.

Cool, thanks!  Does Scott say, "it was our honor to almost have recorded it" during Let Down?  Wonder if this effects the covers album.

Ummm, not to sound mean, but no. I have shared every moment including meeting him a few years ago (which was more special & personal to me. It was longer & more intimate). So this one conversation (even though it was brief) I'm keeping to myself & only a few people. No ofense but I think I've shared with the public for years (my Myspace fanpage had every moment shared in blogs). I feel like this time, I wanna keep this just for myself.

Well, be that way!  Just kidding.  I get it.  Of course it's special.  8)
