No Barbarella. I was a bit surprised. But it didn't matter. I talked to Doug after the show & he thanked me for making the trip from Vegas to see the show & showing support. He said and I quote "I guess you got a better show then New York. Though we didn't do a fucking thing different." I said it was a great show he said "It was 'weird', but good." Weird I think because its a show of songs Scott digs from other people. Scott said what he got slammed for saying in NY, it was a sort of "rehearsal".
The crowd was awesome. Not one person bitched about it being late. Not one person booed about the songs. Not one person was a dick. Everyone knew it was gonna be a good show. Maybe it being his home, them knowing how fortunate we all were to get a ticket, everyone was awesome.
Love L.A. crowds. THEY GET IT! Must be a chilled out west coast thing.
Scott was funny, chatty, no slurring & happy as fuck to do solo material. It shines through him how happy he is.
I had been to the Viper Room before. So I knew how tiny it is. Hard to explain to my friends just how small it is. Tey were all tripping how tiny it was when they got in. Even if you're in the back, your not far from the stage. Perfect place to see intimate shows.
We didn't get a reading at the signing, because that place was small as fuck too. Scott I'm sure was glad. He didt have to speak. He was kind, funny, and sweet. I made him laugh hard twice, which made him pause on both of his signatures. Hahaha!! Very nice & extremely kind. Everyone I heard from said he was as well. Gotta stop meeting that guy. I already love him enough. I walk away with a worse case of Weilanditis afterwards! Haha!
And VC forgot to hit the 1. We got there at 12, not 2.
Hey VC. Thanks for helping me out. I was about ready to jump off my balconey thinking I had to leave &wouldn't be able to go to the signing & show. You guys are aces. Ya saved me from being suicidal. And thanks for warming up my ice cold hands. Haha!
