"Take A Load Off" To Be Featured On The Video Game Soundtrack

Shift 2 Unleashed showcases a new style of soundtrack that uses sonic themes to engage the player and represent the driver’s battle. Each composer working on the soundtrack was tasked with the challenge of producing emotional themes, creating a cinema-level score.

“This is a totally unique approach to videogame scores,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing for EA. “We’ve brought together some of the most cutting-edge composers from various film, TV, trailer and gaming backgrounds in entertainment to re-imagine the music of ten absolutely distinctive bands and sonically encapsulate the driver’s emotional journey.”

The soundtrack will also feature:
30 seconds to Mars – Night of the Hunter
Anberlin – We Owe This To Ourselves
Biffy Clyro – Mountains
The Bravery – Ours
Escape The Fate – Issues
Hollywood Undead – Levitate
Jimmy Eat World – Action Needs An Audience
Stone Temple Pilots – Take A Load off
Switchfoot – The Sound

I think the last game I heard STP in was Grand Turismo 2... that one had Sex Type Thing on it.

Maybe they are planning on releasing Take a Load off as a single. Oh wait...
 
I don't really see what STP gets out of it, the song already flopped months ago due to shitty promotion. Maybe if it was on a soundtrack around the time it was released it would make sense.  Maybe they will sell a couple hundred more albums through it.
 
Atlantic has really mastered "too little too late."  At this rate we are probably not going to hear Cinnamon in a soundtrack or even see the damn video until like next January.

30STM ain't too bad. Hollywood Undead is God Awful. It sounds like Eminem rapping over old Linkin Park riffs.

Pretty sure they were in one of the Need for Speeds as well, but I could be mistaken.

This is good (can't be bad). Music sells less, videogames sell more. And Take a load off is a killer track! Sad is I don't know how a videogame looks anymore

What do you mean all the Take A Load Off Tracks?  Are they putting remixes of Take a Load Off on the game or are you just referring  to the other tracks on the game?
