Wow, this venue looks awful. Tickets are only $21.50! They do not even have speakers at this venue, it just looks like the band must provide the amps. Other big bands are playing there, though. Is it me, or does this look like a really weird venue? Only $21.50 also makes me think this will be the worst STP show of the year.

Cheap tickets definitely equate to bad shows.

Did you look at the place? It looks like something a shity local band would play at. However, Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies, Poison, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others have played there.

I really hope I can get some feedback from somebody who has been to this venue. Seriously, it looks like they have no speakers and the only noise you get is from what the band brings. I do not know about you, but I want to actually hear STP and not have it sound like I am listening to them on CD.

Dude, are you serious? This venue does not look worthy of a band who has sold as many records as STP. I really wanted to go to this and would, but I am not driving 5 1/2 hours for a venue that looks this bad.

Who the hell cares about the "shitty place" when, just like you said, a band that has sold million records as STP is going to play there?! i mean, i wouldnt care if they play in a place like that. I would still go there and have fun.

I have to disagree, to me this is just you being a bit of an STP homer. An outdoor venue sound is already going to be much more quiter than an indoor venue, and then they do not even provide any type of speakers. Plus $22 tickets, when was the last time STP only charged $22 for a ticket, something is up. Also, I had a bad experience at a Smashing Pumpkins concert. When I got there I said " there is no way these speakers can provide enough sound" and sure enough me and my brother could have a conversation with eachother from about 25 feet from stage. By the way, that venue looks to have triple the amount of speakers this one in Richmond does.

STP isn't going to put on a shitty show, especially in a small venue.

Their Buzzardfest show (6.30.00, Cleveland) was at a horribly "shitty" venue - tickets were $19.50 and Nautica Stage was BY FAR the worst venue we had at the time. Excellent show - listen to the bootleg if you need proof. Its arguably one of the better booted shows we've gotten.

Plus, you know the old adage about not judging a book by its cover... ;)
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

I haven't been to Innsbrooke in like 5 years but Im from Richmond and have seen many shows there. Its pretty much a venue directed to the blue collar crowd with bands that are more or less washed up, which is why I too was surprised to learn that STP is going to play there. I don't really remember too much about the sound capabilities. Only thing I am sure of is that it is a big time cop fest, so keep that in mind if you decide to bring/ do anything illegal.  The only reason why I might go to this is b/c its 20 minutes from my house.

have fun, have fun, have a whole lot of fun!

I am not worried about STP putting on a bad show, I am worried that it will sound so quiet you can speak from 10 feet away and actually hear the other person.

I've been to this venue countless times. There is no permanent sound system in there but they hire an outside company to come in and provide sound on each show. Did you guys think STP was going to rely on their amps to make noise? LOL. I actually know the guy who provides sound. I've booked him for events a number of times so I may have to call in a favor on this one!

Innsbrook is one of those after 5pm work crowd concerts that has the feel of a festival. They're always incredibly well attended. I've seen Live a couple times there, Hootie & the Blowfish, Huey Lewis & the News and a couple others. It's a decent spot. It's like a huge field with lots of parking and a big stage at the end. I recommend getting gold circle tickets for this one - it's a blocked off area in front of the stage that's really close to the band.

It's only an hour drive for me so I'm getting a babysitter and I AM THERE!!!!!!
