plus they already spent all that money making the video...why not show it now?

x2.  Even if the single is "dead" and they aren't going to use it for promoting an album that came out just under a year ago... it's already been filmed (twice!) - I don't understand why they'd bother keeping it under wraps.

Maybe they'll release it as part of their "boxed set" or as a bonus on that "live disc" I thought we were getting... like three years ago.  ::)
i have a feeling we will never see this

This is seriously so fucking frustrating. I've said many times that my love for STP has nothing to do with how popular they are in the mainstream, but still...what a wasted opportunity! TALO is a classic STP track...but all it gets is a half-assed music video, barely any promotion, and not ONE live performance. Cinnamon could've been a huge crossover summer pop hit, but gets 2 videos that will never see the light of day anytime in the near future and pretty much doesnt even chart. I always thought Fast As I Can and First Kiss On Mars had single potential too...oh well...

EDIT: I just looked it up, Cinnamon didnt chart on anything.

The general population probably won't give a damn about not seeing the video, but it's disappointing that us hardcore aren't going to get the chance. Somebody should break into Atlantic's office and steal their hard drives. :)

Why does STP's management still suck?   It's amazing how such a great band has always had such poor management and awful business decisions.

Well they said management instructed them not to release it, they didn't say it was management's decision though. My guess is that Atlantic told them the album and single are dead, won't receive any more promotion, and not to bother.

So.... let me get this straight. They made a whole video, then decided... hey, we won't let ANYONE see it.

Stupid.
Do you like STP? Check out my band! We're heavily STP-influenced. http://dropdeadsixtymusic.bandcamp.com/

Kind of. They made TWO videos, then decided not to release either.
How could they not notice it?! Because it's a little mint.  It's a Junior Mint!

Agreed.  SLDD all over again.  Atlantic is just horrible.   Cinnamon could be a huge crossover hit to bring in $$ (the only way they understand music's translation) rock/pop/alt stations alike could be playing this song if it got a push behind it.

I can't wait for them to fulfill their deal and do their own thing.  Self-promotion would do so much better than Atlantic.

THIS BOARD could probably do better than Atlantic...imo
Hold me closer.....closer.....let me go!

We're stuck in a time warp if we think releasing a music video will help out with promoting the band. It's all for selfish reasons that we want this video released.

But yeah. I think we will see it eventually.

Agree. It's been too long since the album release for the video to make an impact. And I even doubt it would have had done it back then, videos are no what they used to be.

I too agree, but it still doesnt make up for the fact that Atlantic should have supported the album more last summer after Between The Lines did so well. Whatever I dont even wanna talk about it anymore lol
