about two months ago I smited you.

I have smitted people, but only about three or four times. I think I applauded you about three times, simply because I can appreciate how you try to piss people off sometimes.

I must confess that I have smote people. I occaisionally do it when I think someone's posted something incredibly stupid. I generally feel really guilty after I've done it and give the person two applauds.

The only time I even think about smiting is if someone attacks my opinion on something or someone else's opinion.  Disagreeing is fine... completely fine with me, but when someone says something like "you are stupid, such and such is a good song and you don't know what you are talking about" then I get irritated. 

It is just an opinion.  If I don't agree with someone I may say "I sort of like that song or lyric or whatever" or "here is why I like or dislike something".  But not rip them personally.  That is just ignorant IMHO.

Smiting is like being the "mean girl" in high school.
 
Sometimes, I smite Loungefly611 just because he's the only one with more posts than me and deep inside, I hate him for it.
 
Sometimes I smite Andrew because I imagine that he smells like mustard. 
 
Sometimes, I even smite VegasCrackerman, because I suspect he has more autographs than me and also because I KNOW he's been to more shows than me.  I hate that in a person.
 
We should start a "Smite Confessions" thread.  I think it would make people feel better.
