I recently let a friend borrow "Thank You" and in its absence I've decided to burn a cd with some of STP's best songs that weren't on the "greatest hits."  I was thinking 3 or 4 songs from each album.  Any suggestions on a track listing?

I think i'll have to call it "You're Welcome."

I'm an idiot.  I forgot "Seven Caged Tigers" - and you simply cannot make a collection of STP's best tunes without that one!

There are so many songs that I wished were on "Thank You."

I think my picks would have included:

Seven Caged Tigers
Down
Lounge Fly
Atlanta
Meatplow
And So I Know
Adhesive
Pop's Love Suicide
Heaven and Hot Rods
Kitchen Ware & Candy Bars

While I do like what's on the disc, I just feel like I was shorted some of Tiny Music's best.

i agree, i feel that "No.4" & "Shangri-La Dee Da" were two great albums full of material that were both neglected by the band and their record company, so here's my little greatest hits setlist ...

01   Vasoline
02   Crackerman
03   Pop's Love Suicide
04   Heaven & Hot Rods
05   Big Empty
06   No Way Out
07   And So I Know
08   Sour Girl
09   Creep
10   Wonderful
11   Samba Nova
12   Interstate Love Song
13   Trippin....
14   Sin
15   Lady Picture Show
16   Unglued
17   Sex Type Thing

... ah hell, all of their songs are great   :D

While I realize that, there are definitely a few that come up frequently as favorites and that could have easily been put on the disc.

I would have at least thought Dead and Bloated and maybe Down would have been on it.

Exactly.  I definitely think they could've worked it into a two-disc set.
