Below Empty's Favorite STP Songs by Letter: "R"

Skipped "Q". This one should be interesting because I've heard a lot of people say that they DISLIKE both of these songs, so it'll be cool to see which one wins out. Because there are only 2 options, I'll be making the best poll yet, the "S" poll, very soon.

I love both these songs, but I ended up going for Regeneration.

When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

I know Ride the Cliche is a song that was always a sore subject within the band. I can't remember if it was Rob or Dean that wrote the tune, but they wrote lyrics to it to, and after promise of only "minor adjustments", Scott butchered the lyrics. That song in particular caused a lot of inner turmoil. I voted for it though, I love that song. I thought it came out awesome. I actually think the lyrics in Regeneration are much more stupid.

Hadn't heard that Dean wrote lyrics to it. All I'd heard was that Dean had written the song with a certain vibe in mind, but was pissed when Scott turned it into a trippy drug pop track.

None of the above. Yikes.

I went with Ride the Cliche solely based on that fact that it's off my favorite album. It's been growing on me more though.

Regeneration isn't that good. I guess seeing a clip of it live really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Dedicated. Disgusting. Disturbing.

I'm just sittin' on this merry-go-round, and the music is too loud..

While I can say 'Regeneration? Really? That's your favorite STP song? Okay there buddy,' I think it's pretty cool too because I can safely say you are the ONLY person I know to say that it is your favorite STP song.

its all personal preference.
i tend to favor the more under-rated songs than i do their big hits.
guess this is where my die-hard flag comes in
