So pumped to read reviews! They're almost in Australia!

I'm going to:

19th March - Festival Hall, Melbourne
20th March - Hordern Pavillion, Sydney
21st March - Metro Theatre, Sydney (just announced - small club show, would be lucky to hold 1000 people).
24th March - Entertainment Centre, Newcastle

So stay tuned for reviews and photos! I'm totally gonna meet them too - I have a feeling.

show was awesome, the pilots did not disappoint. good, energetic crowd too. it's hard to believe it's the first time they've been here, considering they were quite big here back in the Core days.

scott also joked around before the encore, doing a michael buffer impersonation introducing ali and frazier to the crowd - a nod to the "thrilla in manila" back in the 70's.

all in all, an unforgettable night especially for the big stp fans in the audience. until the next time!

had a great time on the STP concert in Manila

I love the 90s even if I was just a toddler back then.  A lot of people stereotype STP with the 90s era.  but honestly, I think STP has always been progressive that they transcend time.

Time stopped while I was listening to them...I was hopeful that it won't stop. But it did.   The truth is... its quite melancholic. Hearing them live just have this effect of subconsciously playing the music over and over in my head.

Scott Weiland and the rest of STP was... AMAZING!!!  These guys bring justice to rock music.

A good review from a not-so-hardcore fan, although they seemed like they wanted to be.  Apparently Don took the place of Dean.   :o  http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/super/super/view/20110312-324832/Hot-pa-rin-I-saw-a-cute-paunch-and-now-call-him-Papa-Scott

When STP had a cookout after filming the video for the Core single "Plush," Weiland made jerk chicken that was "spectacular," Dean raves.

Bunch of videos on Youtube.  Here's a few:

WOW. They sound amazing. The break did them well...

The band sounds fantastic but the vocals are pretty poor. I haven't been checking out recent performances but, given that people have been saying how well Scott is doing, these sure disappointed me. H&H is awful and Down not much better imo.   :-\
