it would be pretty cool if someone pulled up the black list from september 01'
Did you google the list?
Here it is http://www.freemuse.org/sw21095.asp
D&B and BBB no Hollywood bitch
I do remember reading it in the paper back in the day and seeing those two songs vetoed due to 911.

I have heard both D&B and Big Bang Baby several times on the radio in the last few years. D&B just came on the radio 3 or 4 weeks ago while I was driving. I'm in the Baltimore/D.C. market too. I never heard about this black list of radio songs from 9/11.
have fun, have fun, have a whole lot of fun!

Both accounts for me, my stations in North Jersey only really play Plush, STT, and sometimes Creep.

Led Zeppelin was one of the bands that were banned in Argentina for 7 years.... you just brought that to my mind with this topic... No idea about Hollywood Bitch

Thats very tragic about Zeppelin being banned in your country
Why though?

They should have made a music video... Should have helped the single chart higher

I was listening to this song this morning and an interesting thought came to mind, do you think if Hollywood Bitch was the first single from Shangri instead of Days of the Week that Shangri would have sold alot more?
For those who were fans back 01' the general consensus upon hearing the debut single Days of the Week was really negative and I believe it turned alot of people off.
Now let's say Hollywood Bitch was the first single, in true STP tradition the first single should be a rocker anyways, I say it would have ultimately generated more interest for Shangri in the first place and would have excited the dedicated fan base at the time alot more than DOTW.
HB not having a music video certainly didn't make matters any better either.
