STP Announce First Ever AUS/NZ Tour

Stone Temple Pilots are planning a trip to Australia and NZ for the first time ever in March.
The band’s tumultuous international relationship has seen tours planned for Australia in the past, but they never came to fruition, although Velvet Revolver did make it there twice. Tickets are on sale on Friday, December 17 at 9am.

2011-03-19 - Melbourne, Victoria - Festival Hall (with Grinspoon)
2011-03-20 - Sydney, New South Wales - Hordern Pavilion (with Grinspoon)
2011-03-23 - Brisbane, Queensland - Riverstage (with Grinspoon)
2011-03-24 - Newcastle, New South Wales - Newcastle Entertainment Centre
2011-03-26 - Auckland, New Zealand - Vector Arena

Can't believe after 20 years waiting, a city of 1 million gets overlooked?  There's room between Perth and Melbourne so hopefully the door is slightly ajar?  :-\


Please STP.  I was 20 when Core came out so my entire adult life has been spent as an STP fan and this bites!!  :)

Awesome to hear! Won't be going to any shows obviously lol but I'm happy for the people of Australia and New Zealand!

Not sure why this matters, but I found it interesting to see Eddie Vedder tweet the fact that "STP is heading down to OZ too....http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/12/09/3089187.htm?section=entertainment" yesterday.
