Clearly I'm bored and I'm looking to kill time. So I ranked every STP song (1 through 71) not counting Dancing Days or anything that wasn't released on an STP album. I also didn't count the hidden track on Purple. Here's my ranking:

    1 Down
2 Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart
3 Silvergun Superman
4 Vasoline
5 Kitchenware & Candybars
6 Interstate Love Song
7 Wicked Garden
8 Coma
9 Heaven & Hot Rods
10 Crackerman
11 Press Play
12 Between The Lines
13 Maver
14 No Way Out
15 Huckleberry Crumble
16 Seven Caged Tigers
17 Big Empty
18 Still Remains
19 Wonderful
20 Naked Sunday
21 Dead & Bloated
22 Sex Type Thing
23 Fast As I Can
24 Tumble In The Rough
25 Meatplow
26 Dumb Love
27 Sin
28 Unglued
29 Hickory Dichotomy
30 Lounge Fly
31 Take A Load Off
32 Big Bang Baby
33 Hollywood Bitch
34 Peacoat
35 Army Ants
36 Plush
37 Piece Of Pie
38 Ride The Cliché
39 Hazy Daze
40 Sour Girl
41 Atlanta
42 Glide
43 Where The River Goes
44 Pop's Love Suicide
45 Transmissions From A Lonely Room
46 Pretty Penny
47 Too Cool Queenie
48 Dare If You Dare
49 Church On Tuesday
50 Creep
51 A Song For Sleeping
52 Hello It's Late
53 Adhesive
54 Pruno
55 Sex & Violence
56 No Memory
57 Long Way Home
58 Regeneration
59 Wet My Bed
60 Art School Girl
61 I Got You
62 Lady Picture Show
63 Days Of The Week
64 Black Again
65 And So I Know
66 Bagman
67 First Kiss On Mars
68 Daisy
69 Cinnamon
70 Mc5
 71 Bi-Polar Bear

After this, I averaged out the number for each song with it's corresponding album to figure out which album I liked best. Here are the results (lowest average means I liked it better):

1. Purple  (19.7)
2. Core (32.3)
3. STP (37.2)
4. Tiny Music (39.58)
5. #4 (39.63)
6. Shangri La Dee Da (45.7)

So based on this exercise, the self titled is my third favorite album. Pretty cool! #4 and Tiny Music were almost tied. No surprise that Shangri was my least favorite. I was a little surprised to see Core that high, but I guess it's probably the most consistent album (meaning less songs I didn't like)

67 First Kiss On Mars

What!  Thats it, we're not talking for the rest of the day. :)

Seriously though, that was a fun read.  I like how you did it and it makes me wonder what kind of results I would get doing the same thing.

Wow, props to you guys. I love making lists and rankings and stuff, but I really don't think I could rank STP's songs. I mean I could if I really wanted to, but it would be too hard and I would just end up going crazy trying to figure it out.
My STP shows: 8/10/2008, 7/19/2009, 10/10/2009, 5/22/2010, 4/26/2011, 4/24/2015   Weiland solo: 1/29/2009, 11/29/2012, 3/13/2015    VR: 8/5/2007

I agree it's a great lil instrumental but I don't really consider it more than a transitional track that fits the Tiny Music sound....how can you compare it to any song, or say that Daisy is a better STP song than Take a Load off or Vasoline???

Because the DeLeos say so much with their music in this song.  It does more than transition, it literally conveys emotion through the instruments.  Sometimes its sad, sometimes its happy, but its always beautiful.

100% agree that Robert&Dean say so much not only with this one but with a lot of STP songs.  I respect where you're coming from..
