I was thinking along the lines that his brain is just extremely messed up from all the shit he used to do.

Yep, I think he's got the Ozzy syndrome

Man, I really hope not. He's ONLY 42!! When did Ozzy start to show signs of "Ozzy Syndrome"? I think the first time I ever heard him talk was when The Osbournes became popular and he was obviously already fried by then

How could anyone say, with a straight face, that this guy is not still shooting smack.  Looks pretty cut and dried to me.

uhhhh we can say it with straight faces because A, we are actually fans who have some measure of faith in the guy and what he says. B he didn't really have as much of a drawl we he was using. C If you look or listen to any recent footage from him he usually is fairly quick witted, well spoken and does not seem to be doped up at all. Lastly if Scott really is shooting up the way some ppl think he is there is noway at this point in time that within two years STP would have reunited, released and promoted a new record while touring for the better part of that time if Scott was shooting up. Anybody else wanna help I think we could go for a while on why we CAN say with a straight face that Scott isn't shooting up. I fuckin hate when people say iggnorant shit like that, ya know the types that shout for Scott to remove the needle if he is thirty seconds late to the stage, then kiss his ass for the entire show and bitch about him when he doesn't sign autographs after.

I am a big Scott supporter, as most of us here are, but we can't know for sure what Scott is or isn't doing. Scott will be Scott right? I don't think he is on Heroin. I just think he has a dependency on alcohol or pain pills or both. For all we know, it may just be a social lubricant. Perhaps, when he can unwind at home off the road, he is a different cat. The guy is almost 43 years old. He may not be doing smack, but he is drinking heavily or doing something else which severely impairs his cognitive abilities. However, he is bringing it on this tour. His performances are killer.

Look at interviews from around 2000-2001 and compare those to present day. It is so weird to think that this is the same guy. Scott was so well spoken and used great diction. Now, he is a shell of himself socially. I would hope that if he cleaned up completely that we could see a return to form, but it is sad to see him communicate in any way besides singing on stage. I miss that badass No 4. Scott Weiland. I wish he had more positive people around him to keep him happy and content. I will always support him, but I just wish he was in a better state. I wish total happiness for the guy.

I agree that people need to lay off about the autograph stuff after shows. Scott has a right to a private life if he wants it. We don't know the stress and the lifestyle burdens he carries while on tour. I am not the least put off by his choices as long as they don't negatively effect his band.
